Great overview - thanks for sharing! Does it change LODs when you zoom in/out in UE?

I dont have an answer on this but I would assume that it would

Just started getting into UE5 so this video has great timing for me.

Awesome. I am going to start focussing a little more on UE5 as it will be my main render engine

Wooh it seems amazing, thanks for sharing! Do complex shaders work with it? It would be insane
@karanacause11 күн бұрын
No, Blender procedural materials are different from Unreal ones, so you need to bake them into PBR textures and connect them to the Principled BSDF node.
@benskope11 күн бұрын
@@karanacause ok yes thank you. It sounds obvious but I was hoping the addon would understand the shader nodes and remix them properly for Unreal 😅
@ralph2142-11 күн бұрын
@@benskope You need to use interchange or assimp, who are made for creating pipelines for complex materials, but this is not a easy task to use that.

the only "standard" is the pbr shader and that there is a image texture. But everyone else has already covered it.

I’m trying to do so many things lately. With so many making helper tools, I wish any of my friends were into any of this so I knew which ones to do with. Without taking the time to dig into the details I don’t know if my workflow using USD packages as a go between would be improved with this. I don’t know what I don’t know to ask. It’s a lot of stuff and not enough time to sort.

Is this one better then exporting as .usdc? Or could it be even combined? I like the staging import usdc provides. But this looks very cool!
@Markom3D10 күн бұрын
for me the .usdc from blender 4.3 has been a bit flakey. what I like about this addon is that it will place all the used textures into a textures folder making it easier for export.

Does this work for UE 5.5 ?

Can the addon automatically create UCX collision, or does it have to be done manually?

So.. what is better Marcom.. unreal, omnivorse or blender for rendering?
@ChrisScott-fv6te11 күн бұрын
Depends what you are rendering. Blender for flexibility, Omniverse for digital twin and simulation, Octane for Jewelry, Unreal for speed and lower end systems. Eevee is fantastic but still Blender sucks up ram. All are great but if you want animation use Unreal.
@Markom3D10 күн бұрын
For animation like Chris said below, UE. This is why I am starting to move across to it.
