Hi Mark, ive had my classic 350 gun metal grey for a month now. She's just going in for her first 300 mile service. I can honestly say she is a fantastic bike. Every time I go for a ride a big grin is on my face. Ive had bigger and faster bikes in the past, but this is the first, true feeling of owning a motorcycle that I love. It's just the character and sense of adventure.

I do worry the 0-60 of like 12 seconds just isn't enough. 70mph... I do think this bike makes a lot of sense when compared to a scooter though... 100 miles per gallon is crazy good, especially as fuel will be over 2 quid soon.
@andrewburridge36342 жыл бұрын
@@Adam-mo2qw So far I haven't had any problems pulling away from traffic at lights or overtaking on the road. I've only had to think a little longer before doing so to make sure it's a safe option, so riding a little more defensively, which isn't a negative for me.
@Adam-mo2qw2 жыл бұрын

I've got a 2015 Classic Chrome 500 and it's turned out to be a durable and reliable bike....The new 350 appears to follow in those tyre tracks and should be equally good....The number of happy owners of the various Enfields (including the twins) rather belies the negative comments of some road testers who've been brought up on a diet of Japanese sports bikes and don't seem to be able to disengage themselves from impractical levels of performance and appreciate some of the less tangible pleasueres of motorcycling......

The classics look lovely, I rode a Meteor briefly and it was a pleasant bike and seemed to do most things quite well. Here in the UK, we don't seem to embrace the concept of sub half litre bikes, "Too slow" , my mates have said ! They surely are missing the point ,as not only do you get the economy with petrol at an all time high, but they fall into the cheaper road tax bracket ! I'm looking forward to riding a classic demonstrator soon . Great review Mark .

Yeah these bikes are used in India for a reason. Cheap, cheerful, good quality, great in traffic and economical. I'd much prefer one of these than a 125. It makes 6 horses more than a 125 and cost about the same. You can't go wrong. Infact, an MT125 is £4500, has 14bhp, does 0 to 60 in 14 seconds max. a RE 350 is less money, sounds better, does 0 to 60 in 12ish seconds.... This little gem beats all 125s.. sure I know its not a 125 buts it's in the same price category as these bikes.

Totally agree, always had big bikes but recently have moved to an interceptor for bobing around on and a benelli trk502 for my trips away, both excellent budget bikes, the meteor/classic would definitely fit in next to them no problems, fast bikes are great but rising fuel costs and to many speed restrictions make it a bit redundant in my eyes, take time and enjoy the ride I say👍👍

Those bikes appear to be overbuilt ...... in a good way. Look at the old Meridan Triumph 500 and 650 cc models with their single downtube frames. That little 350 has a massive arrangement by comparison. It may be heavy but that = STRONG. Add the under stressed, speed limited motor and it's safe to say that bike won't break in several lifetimes!

Thanks for your review of this "Classic", Just yesterday I went down to the Royal Enfield dealer and sat on a new Meteor and was impressed with build quality and comfort, but I am not a fan of the cruiser placement of the footpegs. I much preffer pegs down under or nearer the seat. I am told that the Classic is coming in later next month so I am much looking foward to trying it out as it appears to have foot pegs closer to the seat under the rider. Pricing is what got me to look at Enfield but overall quality seems very good. I havent had a bike for several years and am looking foward to getting back into the relaxed layed back riding I do on the country roads where the scenery is nicer and traffic way lower.

Another pleasant and informative review on the new Classic Mark. The Halcyon Green with single seat and optional undersprung seat option is my favorite too. A second choice might be the Bronze/chrome. Interestingly, I thought the Dark variant was to come with cast alloy wheels similar to my Meteor. Perhaps that's changed or it's what MotoGB has specified. I did just notice the Classic comes with rear side bag supports. How nice! Have to admit, love my Meteor but the Classic is a better looking bike. Take care and thank you for the terrific review.

The rest of the world appears to be getting models with alloy wheels but not the UK for some reason. Likewise we are not getting the "signals" models with the military paint jobs nor are we getting the lovely gloss vintage green paint job. Halcyon green. Is this a good color for this motorcycle? Halcyon gray is nice, but no longer available. Halcyon black is a bit boring.

G'day Mark, their has been a lot of interest World wide about the Royal Enfield 350 and you can see why it a fantastic bike, looks very classic, l am personally disappointed that Royal Enfield dropped the 500cc model l bought the 2021 650 Interceptor and was going to follow up buying the 500 model not knowing they were no longer made and what models were available had all been sold in Australia by the time l went back to the dealer, do you think they will bring the 500 model back. Another great review, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.

Hi Mark I have the Bronze Chrome RE its great ,but I cannot get my boot under he gear lever, I tried to adjust but the foot rest stops the lever from coming off , it can be adjusted by dropping the front of the frame , check it out

It can be moved one spline in situ without dropping the frame. I had the same issue when I collected mine last week,the dealer adjusted it and it's perfect for me now.👍

Sadly I have to wait for the 300 mile service before I can get the gear lever position changed.
