Best video yet..... I look forward to these videos every month and the updates on your lake, which by the way is looking absolutely stunning! All your hard work is definitely paying off. My son recently caught his first carp which was only 3lb but it certainly made me smile and I hope he remembers the day. Keep up the great work.

I used that blue dye on my lake but I got it in a powder form and it came in small pva bags that you can throw all over the lake from the bank, it also came in a brown colour which had a much better result in keeping the weed at bay than the blue did, great video as always

It looks amazing, how many fish are in there?
@notaclue6386 жыл бұрын
Also leave some weed in there, it adds another dimension to the fishing by testing skills such as finding a spot.
@MarkPitchers6 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate. There's currently 39 carp in just over 2 acres, this will rise slightly though to an absolute maximum of 50 fish. Yeah I won't be removing the weed, just raking a few areas to keep them fishable that's it 😊😊

Another great video, i look forward to watching these every month, Your lake is looking so nice now its summer. Going fishing with your daughters is so good, i hope when mine is old enough she will come with me and be as happy as yours are. Do you/Fox make Zig rigs to sell as i can only ever find them from korda. i know i should make my own buts its always usefull to have some that have been pre made up.
@MarkPitchers6 жыл бұрын
Hi Stuart! Thanks so much, really glad you've enjoyed watching the vids each month. I'm sure your daughter will love it as much as my youngest one did (my eldest one not so much lol 😄). Although Fox don't do ready tied zigs they do the Zig Aligna sleeves/kit. They make tying zigs an absolute doddle and IMO they are the best zig presentation out there 👌
@swhdesigns20106 жыл бұрын
Hi Thanks for the reply, I’ll definitely look into the Zig Aligna sleeves/kit then. Keep up the good work, can’t wait to be able to fish your lake

You can add grass carps. They will eat the grass in the lake. Here lake owners add like 20 -40 percent of grass carp to deal with the grass. It couple of years your lake bottom will be like mars planet. I know they add grass carp and big head carp this combination clear the water very effectively . Actually the fish was breeded to clean the lakes and rivers.

Hi Mark have you ever thought off putting some grass carp in your lovely looking lake to get rid off your weed problem??.

I have thought about it mate but I'm really not a big fan of catching them myself.. we'd need loads of them to have any sort of impact. A heard of manatees would be more appropriate 😄😄😉
