Thanks for the video. It would be interesting to know what the weight of the original exhaust was and how much weight you saved in the end.
@ScoutsOut5 ай бұрын
Thank you! I know man I should have measured the weight

I find it interesting that akra didn’t put the little rubber plug on the end of your exhaust can so you can unscrew the db killer, I have basically the same looking exhaust on my mt07 and they have that so you don’t have to deal with the rivets.
@evi04259 ай бұрын
Reason why is because in the EU, after euro 4 emissions (2017), it became illegal for manufacturers to sell DB-compliant exhaust with removable DB-killers. Otherwise they would not get there e-mark. So in short: for an exhaust here in europe to be legal the exhaust has to not produce to much sound, keep within emmisions (for full systems they need a cat for example) and also should not have the ability to be made louder on the spot (aka not having a removable baffle)
@evi04259 ай бұрын
You can make the DB killer removable on the Duke/RC 125/390 akra. You just need to drill a hole in the side and break the little weld that hold the screw in. Way easier than drilling out the rivots and going on from there
@ScoutsOut9 ай бұрын
Sounds like a much easier way to do it

I appreciate the video. I have a '23 and it honestly seems the same in terms of exhaust/pipe/chamber placement. I def wanna get rid of the mid chamber since it'll relieve my bike of 14-15lb. But when and if I do that, I was told that I'd need to tune the bike. Any insight or advice on that? I've also yet to buy a louder exhaust system. Esp because I live in a metro area so I need something that'll allow other drivers to know I'm behind them 😅
@ScoutsOut7 ай бұрын
Yea the 22/23 are the same bikes I think they just added a dark screen on the 23. I would want the tune on this bike if it has a full exhaust. IMO you need to baby these little KTMs to save that warranty and they can be finicky from what I read. On a good note I haven’t read anything bad like the previous models yet so only time will tell.

Love the video tho the heavy left side stereo audio is distracting

Thank you, it was a bad audio mistake for sure. I’ve learned since then
