I'm from the SF Bay Area and growing up my mom used to make seafood gumbo during Dungeness crab season -- THE best crab I've ever had. Actually my mom's signature dish was really a hybrid of a traditional Louisiana (her birthplace) gumbo and a San Francisco cioppino. Oooh, I miss her cooking.

Mark Wiens, I very passionately enjoy these seafood videos. I eat alot of seafood myself because they are just too GOD DAM delicious. And also insanely addictively fun to eat too. Seafood > steaks/meats because they always have variety to them. There is literally never a dull moment with seafood ever to be honest. And on top of that, there are quite a bit of different combinations of drinks, toppings & of course condiments that go beautifully & eloquently well with seafood. Seafoods are hands down 1 of the greatest creations of mother nature. 😃

Thanks for sharing Mark. I recognised a number of places in San Francisco where I had visited back in late 2016. I even recognised the little stall where I purchased some pearls for my wife and daughters. Many thanks again. I remember buying some crabs in San Francisco, which I took back to my sister's home, only to be told by my nephew who is a doctor, that I should not risk eating the crabs due to some sort of algae that had poisoned the flesh. As I was flying back to Australia in four days, I though that discretion was the better part than valour, and had to dump the crabs. I had waited almost a lifetime to get to San Francisco just to eat those crabs. I left the USA thinking to myself, that had I become an undertaker, people would stop dying.

My favorite crab Mark. I prefer it’s soft and sweet flavor to that of the king or snow.

Garlic noodles are a Vietnamese take on Italian pasta e burro. Very San Francisco natural fusion kind of thing. I hope you tackle mission burritos before you leave SF. I lived there most of my life and the big burritos were a staple food for most of the locals, and now have spread around the world.

i would say garlic noodles are a vietnamese take on pasta aglio e olio
@edwardduong69143 жыл бұрын
@@Yungdil It tastes completely different. Try it you'll see.

@@Yungdil Most SF Italians are tuscan, piemontese, ligurian + some sicilians. The more typical thing is pasta burro. With garlic technically it's pasta con aglio e burro. Pasta aglio e olio is a Naples thing, though it's related.

San Francisco has some of the absolute best Dungeness crabs ever!! If you have a chance treat yourself! Now Crustaceans…If your going to have it the best to place to have it is in SF!! I’m not saying Beverley Hills is bad because it’s not…but it’s not SF. When you eat those crabs…don’t be dignified really get after it because it is simply messy goodness! Don’t miss out on finger licking goodness being cute 😂 Mark THANK YOU. This is close to my old home town! ❤️✌🏾

Another beautiful video Mark! While I'm still hospitalized the crab 🦀 dishes have made my tummy growl. The sea lions made me smile today and seeing Mika super excited about the doughnuts brought a huge 😃 to my face. Sharing the love of food is one of the most enjoyable parts of various cultures. You keep sharing Mark and enjoy the time you have left in the USA. Happy holidays from this sick girly 💗

As a SF local, I can tell you that without exaggeration the noodles are life altering. I wouldn’t be surprised if people offered their first born for the recipe. 😂

I'm from the bay area and my wife and I would travel from Elk Grove to San Francisco twice a month for those awesome Thanh Long crabs! These crabs are amazing and the Garlic Noodles are undefeated!!! If you like to visit this restaurant make sure to set up reservations because it could be a 2 hour wait. Enjoy!!!
