I'm going to have to integrate this into my mace swinging. Need the hip mobility. Any Flow Shala fans who want to come join the WildFan discord, we'd love to have you. Check the video description above. 😁

So many really useful cues in this video. It's easy to learn them when separated and explained slowly like that, thanks 👍.

I think that after working on standing up, the next priority, given our modern world, might need to be working on the Malasana squat. Our tendency to "sit" seems to create a series of problems related to getting into this otherwise natural position. Truly hope you do a series on that next. Meanwhile, thanks for all the great content you've been providing.

I’m glad you went into what you mean by “packing the shoulders.” Am I right that the difference between the two ways to hold the shoulders in ready position is one squeezes the shoulder blades together and the “packed” position still has shoulders back but stretches the shoulder blades apart? I’m a longfist guy and I can’t not see tantui #1 with this series.

Hey Wildman, I just got my fat boy mace. Its got some weight without the weights being on it. Love what I just but, I love your mobility workouts. Do you sell DVD's on mace /club work outs or can I downloaded them to my phone Or laptop, or just log into your online work outs?

Mark/Summer I sent an email regarding the upcoming workshop. Is it suitable for individuals with NO training experience at all?

It would very much help to start training immediately. It’s not stop with impact stress

Hey Mark, long time viewer of your channel. Over the years I've heard you talk about how violence is a fundamental form of human communication. Wondering if you could make a video talking in depth about this idea. As an artist (I'm an actor) I've recently been working on letting violence take up space and exist in my body and my work without necessarily externally outputting abuse or physical harm on another person. I feel like you might have some thoughts / insight on how or why violence might be a necessary language to have a certain amount of fluency in as well as how you can acquire that fluency without being "violent" to people or things around you. Would love to hear any thoughts ideas or feelings you have :)

Do you know of any steel mace trainers based in Los Angeles?

Venus Lau? West side. She’s an animal flow specialist and very different from me but a crushingly good athlete

Is there a version, or is it a different named exercise where we start with the bell low rather than high when in the starting position?
@MarkWildman2 жыл бұрын
Define low

Yes, you can try bringing the mace to just below the chin in an over over grip. Still maintaining the torque and leverage, or rip and crushing action with elbows tracking in.

Thank you =)

From an overhead view, the bell is above the handle. I was thinking if the orientation was reversed such that the bell is below the handle. Like a reverse grip with swords (not a swordsman so I'm not sure if that's phrased properly) where the blade is down instead of pointing to the sky (I'm remembering one or two fight scenes from Highlander the TV show where Duncan held it down -- maybe you'd do that with a dagger instead of a sword for defense in real life? Not sure).

What a joke. No offence Mark I think you are the bomb. I’m just tired of seeing women taking a 5000 year old study and think they are improving on it. She forgot her candles and essential oils

Not being a white knight here, but women also have unique perspectives in training too, but only the few selected high quality women though.
