Mark, thanks for one of your best reviews! I have a 2A and found it to be very versitile for small power uses, and you will find more and more as take it with you and use it. Just a couple of notes... You can set the screen sleep to several minute settings, or to Never, so you don't have to push a key to turn the screen ON after too short a time. Also, with the menu on the screen, you can only toggle between Standard and Turbo charging modes. You can select Silent only using the Bluetooth app. (I have an AC60 and B80 expansion battery. You can use the B80 (with optional cable) to extend the 2A capacity to 1000Wh with the battery if you go on a longer trip with no solar or AC available.) Thanks again and enjoy your AC2A!

I recently learned about the cable that allows the B80 battery to be used with the AC2A and others with the XT60 plug. I an going to ask Bluetti to send one that I can test out. Thanks for commenting

Man I really like the looks of the Bluetti AC2A. The small size is just awesome. I've never used one of these power stations but it seems from what I've seen that Bluetti is setting the bar right now where it comes to these products. 5 year warranty says they believe in their gear. Great review Mark, thanks for sharing!

Hi Steve. I expect I will only review Bluetti in the future as they are that good and worth the money. Thanks for commenting

G'day Mark, yep this mob is in the top coupla brands in my investigations too. I love that this model has every thing one might need for car camping in a compact package, with a great display and without wireless phone charging, built in lamp(s) and such. A pass through feature is very worthy IMO and love the various modes too. I do wonder the impact electronically on power drain, if any, between plugging an AC phone charger, (fast charge or not), into it, or going direct into a USB port. ......... I s'pose at the very least you don't unnecessarily use up an AC outlet, ........ though on the other hand, it only takes a phone + 2 other items, to use all the available USB ports, so any more than that, the AC may need to be be pressed into service for inherently DC devices. Perhaps alternatively, a cheap USB hub/switch could cater for any extras, (within the output capacity of those ports of course). I also like the "clean" AC charging cable, any standard PC or other appliance job will do the business. The handle is a winner too, you can see why they've done it that way to fit all the internals, yet keep it streamline within its cuboid, or brick, dimensions and with no moving parts. Great point on resistive loads, ......... as opposed to capacitive and inductive loads, .... that's where impedance, (total resistance) comes into play, i.e. resistance + other variables in Ohms, but lets not go there, I'm glad you kept it simple mate, I can hardly remember all that stuff myself, lol. Grounding terminal ?. Cant say I've seen or noticed that before on this type of kit. The AC input will have it's own earth wire whilst charging, but in use the AC earth wire of the appliance(s) would go nowhere, if in fact it is a 3 pin plug to start with, and on the DC side, there's perhaps static, or other desirable grounding to consider, ...... I'd have to put more thought into that one. I do like an IP rating for just about anything outdoorsy, but hey I'm certainly not leaving a power supply exposed to the elements, I'd be far more concerned for solar panels handling what comes their way. Personally I'm not gonna use an an app for the application, pardon the pun, but it's there if that's one's shtick. All in all, these folks know what they're doing, both from an engineering perspective and in a real life practical sense. Worth every penny I'd say. Thanks for showing it mate. Cheers Duke.

Duke, you do have much superior knowledge in this field to me. I am glad you like this unit as I do. I have tested the AC inverter draw on different units and it is small but still there. I like the idea of having a hub if there are more DC units to charge than ports available. Maybe I could see how well that would work. Thanks for commenting

@@MarkYoungBushcraft Being an ex-sparkie does have its advantages at times, though I far more respect your hands on experience with a such a wide array of kit. Yeah, I did "think" there'd be some difference in draw, it does sound negligible though. Thank you for sharing the finding, ... it's always good to know for "sure". Any hub should work in theory, though I did have a 4 port job exhibiting unresolvable compatibility issues with a newer laptop ........ or more to the point, it didn't like Windows 10, or Windows 10 didn't like it, as far as I can tell anyway. It ended up in "file 13", (the bin), ...... the hub, not the laptop ; ) ........ lucky, they're generally not too expensive an item.

Hi. I noticed in your review that this unit does not seem to come with a vehicle 12v cigarette lighter recharging adapter. Would you happen to know if there is any reason you shouldn’t recharge this unit from your vehicle while driving to your camping destination? I wonder if Bluetti might also sell a cigarette lighter adapter that mates to the provided solar panel cable?
@MarkYoungBushcraft10 ай бұрын
Yes, you can charge this unit with 12V Dc from a vehicle. Bluetti does sell a number of cable options that will help with this. You can also use any 12V Auto to XT60 cable and use that. Thanks for commenting

I went to link you provided for this unit. It doesn't show a price or way to purchase. I'm confused.

Thank you for letting me know. I had been advised by Bluetti that the link would be active today. I will ask for clarification as two when it can be purchased
