I’ve been having the best time with magnets. I find if you flip it, magnet side up, and use the corner of the magnet vs the fat edge the sparkles move better.

Gorgeous! A few months ago I was going through my old nail polishes and found a VERY old (probably 10 years) bottle of magnetic polish. The consistency was still good so I figured I'd give it a try...don't you know it still worked perfectly! All my coworkers and I couldn't believe it still worked and looked soooo cool!

It just makes a different effect. The rectangular side makes a cat eye type look while the circular end moves the pigment around

That looks fantastic. I don't have the Modelones brand of Cathy's and I think it might make a big difference on the brand. I am finding I really do love the quality if Modelones. The other mistake I made was doing all the nails at once. Mine did move from what I initially did, so it didn't come out quite like I wanted it too. Thank you very much for the tip to do one nail at a time. I really appreciated the link you sent!!!

I ventured into cat eyes polishes a couple years ago, played around with them for a while, bought a few different brands looking for the perfect one. Then I gave it up for about a year. Tried to get back into it and finally realized the polish isn't the problem... my magnet skills SUCK 🤣 I love the galaxy look, and this set is stunning!!! I guess I just need to practice.

What do you use to wipe off the nail bed after you do the filing before the top coat? Acetone or alcohol?

It’s swipe solution from young nails. Essentially a dehydrator (mixture of alcohol and acetone)

You have to play round with them. Make sure the magnet you’re using is super close and use a dark base color ❤️
