If no one has answered it yet, an RAT is an Remote Adminstration Tool, when opened the person with the main program can access victim computers that he has sent this file to and take over the victims PC. think of it like the software teachers have on school computers or college computers to make sure your not on KZbin or any site other than education. Although I was never hacked I was tricked into subscribing to a gaming service for old phones around 2010 (pre-android era) and it ended up charging my prepaid minutes leaving me with nothing, so I ended up accepting it for a while and getting a new number later on.
