I am ordering the spring kit, I recently got a brand new 1979 glenfield model 60, never fired, went out and shot it. it functioned flawlessly but the trigger is so hard a few times I had to double check that I had taken it off safety. 8 pounds if I was to guess, accuracy suffered because of the extremely hard trigger pull. I did this to an 86 model 60. While everything was apart, I took the time to carefully polish all the contact surfaces. The result was a 3.5lb average trigger pull. The stock trigger was averaging 5.5lbs. I also installed their trigger assembly, which removed most of the pre traval. I had to smooth out and polish the end of the adjusting screw because it was hanging up on the disconnector, but overall I'd say the $75.00 I spent on the Mcarbo parts was worth the result. The completed trigger job turned out sweet.

Just ordered this trigger spring kit yesterday, and can't wait to install it! Thank you for specifying to lock the bolt back prior to removing the stock, and prior to placing the lower back onto the upper. Not doing so can potentially bend the lift spring and cause jamming of the bolt, or other functionality issues. this is a lesson I learned the hard way! Anyway, I'm confident I'll be able to get this kit installed accurately, as I've watched this video several times already, and it is one of the best step-by-step instructional videos I've seen. Really great job!

I get extremely good accuracy from stock 60’s . Fine if one wants light trigger but mine seems good as is.

A factory composite plastic trigger is as good as a $200 alloy trigger group; if you don't do this spring upgrade. It's amazing these things last as long as they do. Way more complex than an AR trigger group for obvious reasons. Cleanliness and attention to detail on these Model 60s are critical, like no other firearm I can think of.

only thing I seen that you did not mention in the video was an issue that I just went through the spring that's used as a injector has to be adjusted to the right height and angle out or it will not eject rounds and stove pipe

To be honest I expected a lighter trigger pull I followed the instructions to a tee and am disappointed in the results. the trigger feels the same to me no noticeable difference at all, still takes the same amount of pressure to release the hammer as it did before. Buyer beware
