I’m a new subscriber and just wanted to say that I so happy to have something new to binge late at night. You seemed almost shy or ashamed to say what you’ll be charging for these baits, don’t. I run my business from home as well and when I first started I was very timid at first when quoting the customer on the cost of my work. I thought there was no way I could justify what I was charging that would make sense to someone. Came to find I had some of the better prices around and people appreciate quality work. Your work is truly outstanding and worth every penny you ask. People that come to you know they’re getting top notch gear, otherwise they’d just end up going to tackle shop for run of the mill lures. Awesome stuff man!

Awesome baits every time. Have you or can you do a sort of tech video? Just go over your paints and spray gun, wood working tools, stencils, and chisels. Love these detailed videos.

$100 for a hand cut hand crafted hand painted one of a kind lure is spot on for price!!!! If somebody complains about the price, doesnt understand or appreciate the work and effort in making one. Love what you do and cant wait to buy one of your lures for myself!

I completely understand where you're coming from, I used to paint guitars as a hobby and then people started asking for commissions and I always felt bad asking for money at the end of it regardless of how many hours you'd put into it. It's really hard to put a price on your own worth but I'm glad you're taking the leap, you do good work and you deserve good money for it, one day you'll be fighting off commissions with a painty stick. Best of luck Oh and if you've not tried it I highly recommend giving Auto Air transparent Root Beer (4248) a go, that stuff became my go-to darkening tint for almost everything, really nice for blending and adding a more natural shadow than black does. Personally I used to dilute it 4/1 with reducer. (loved the piece but a minor critique would be that the scale size was a bit small, maybe worth experimenting with different sized/shaped mesh)

Why would any bass fisherman use a baby bass to catch another bass? So you kill the next generation of bass just to catch the big ones now. That's not cool. Use artificials or shad, shiners whatever else is in you fisheries.

Just recently found your channel and just love it bro!! I love to fish and grew up airbrushing models, so during covid (no bbq was being made), I started painting baits. The smaller baits are so much easier vs larger baits. I am learning so much as I go! Just bought my first band saw and hope to learn how to make my own baits! After beating 2 cancers doing bbq isn’t as easy as it used to be so lure making is fun and so much easier in my knees and back. Appreciate your vids a ton!!👊🏻👊🏻🔥🔥

It’s so funny how fish look different in seperate parts of the country. Our bluegills in NC are much darker but also have extreme variation within the state depending on the body of water you’re fishing
