Thank you so much for posting. I attended this porformance in New York in 1978. It was part of a benefit performance with many great dancers participating in several works. I was stunned by this particular performance. It was electrifying - live on the stage. Will never forget it!

thank you , you took the words right out of my mouth. I would take two of bujones's piroettes over eight of any other dancer. The best ballet body for a man I have ever seen and boy he knew how to work it!!!

Oh my..........! I love them!! I like Mr. Bujones as dancer, teacher and choreographer. But together with Makarova they are both perfect!

Thank you for posting this wonderful clip. Do you see how high they jump and how gracefully they land, all the while keeping it within a beautiful legato phrase and in the style? It's breathtaking!!!

BRAVA! BRAVO! Perfect partners.

@BalinSilay Agree! Cynthia Gregory was too tall for him (and Van Hamel too). He and Makarova were an excellent match, but she usually danced with Ivan Nagy at ABT, an incredible partner but not the most exciting dancer.

This could have been one of the great partnerships. They would have been perfect for one another both in terms of bodies, amazing feet and legs, dramatic ability... a dream team. This is such a tantalizing fragment, a tease of what could have been.

Sorry that was a surreal moment for me this was probably one of his last year's conducting if this is American ballet Theatre. Because after this he came to Austin and then Louisville I think. He was at my sisters rehearsal dinner because he played violin at her wedding and helped my dad's mom steal ll I don't remember I'm going to say salt and pepper shakers off the table in front of her. For some reason she decided she liked them which sounds like a horrible story but man we used to tear things that I miss this man so much. Rest in peace Akira

I don't recall it off hand, but remember a "feud" between the two of them, which quickly ended any kind of partnership. :-(

Мне дуэт Макаровой с этим партнером не кажется превосходным.Куда интереснее это же с Годуновым.Буйонес тяжеловесен и приземист в сравнении с Годуновым.

they don t make dancers like these anymore......
@zeebee93565 жыл бұрын
Osias Jr Barroso; No they don't make dancers like this anymore. And to think that in the USA the ideal dancer is a Michael Jackson (RIP) or J Lo...Hip hop and vulgar coreography (B. Spears, N. Minaj amd other talentless wannabes).

Somebody sounds a bit full of themself. Throwing out the fact that you 'studied with the best masters in different countries' is like name-dropping - just trying to reinforce yourself. You shouldn't judge based on ONE performance you saw. It's similar with music. A band makes one bad song or CD, and someone wants to make them out to be the worst band in the world. From what I see here, your statements are well proven false. Until we see that you're better than him, do yourself a favor and hush.

that deffinitely is NOT number one for stars...we all know what makes a star,and feet...well they are very low below charisma,talent,factor x,and that special magic that you create around you
