In 1973, one of Hollywood’s most beloved actors Marlon Brando sat with talk show host Dick Cavett to discuss his new found insight on America’s relationship with the Indian, and how that relationship is falsely promoted in schools and in Hollywood films.

In his acting school the teacher said to the class "students I want you to be chickens on a quiet Sunday afternoon in any town America. I also want you to know that nuclear war has just been declared and the bombs are launched and incoming." The entire class ran around clucking loudly and flapping their arms up and down mimicking scared chickens. Marlon sat very still and quiet in his chair pretending to lay an egg. The teacher said; "Marlon, the nuclear bombs are on the way." He simply replied; "I am a chicken what do I know about nuclear bombs.”

Brando is one of the world’s finest actors of all time. So talented, so spiritual. In this interview (1973) he was so ahead of his time. Great guy.

If Brando gets it in 1973, I have no patience for people who don't get it in 2021.

I love the pauses he does while talking, is so calming. People vomit their words today, seeking attention, and he has all eyes on him, and knows it, so he takes all time in the world to speak. Genius.

Marlon Brando is just fascinating. 50 year old interview is completely relevant today.

It is somehow tiresome to listen to people's laughters. He's so calm on each thought, we could learn a few things from him, quite deep.

I wonder what Marlon Brando would have to say about the situation in Canada all the buried children found in residential schools?

Not only a genius who changed the meaning of acting but also a man who was fearless, thoughtful, truly philanthropic and had an integrity that is very rare in any age.

There will NEVER be another Brando...or Cavett for that matter. EVER. Both legends and one of a kind.

Brando was probably the coolest man that ever lived, he had it all and he didn’t give a shit, no one could ever out do him or make him look small, he had that ability to be top dog without trying. he was flawed as well though, to pretend he wasn’t is to misrepresent the man. He hurt those who loved him but he was a complicated character, one of the most fascinating of all time. The power of his charisma was second to none really, he could sit in a chair saying nothing and still dominate a room full of powerful characters, he did it on film, anyone else on screen became secondary. I've studied the guy long time, and seen things differently so many times I have lost count, the man is unsolvable, a unique spirit.
