My shawl is done, and looks lovely! This is a birthday gift for a sweet friend who will turn 90 this year...I've recently moved away, and wanted to give her something I had made that would be like me giving her a big hug every time she wraps this shawl around her. Thank you for that wonderful binding off method that I'd never done before. It leaves a beautiful and clean finish!

Wow, another new technique for me! Thanks Marly, I really enjoyed this KAL. With the handbell choir ending for the season this past Sunday, i had little to do on Tuesday, my usual rehearsal night. I went and finished my shawl, then started another one as well as the Bias shawl. I will use this bind-off on my second shawl when finishing.

I have started another shawl and I'm using your method for the yo p2tog rows on this one; on the first, I was having to rip it out and start section 2 over a couplee of times because of the wrong stitch count so I went back to my regular method. Now, on the second shawl, I'm using your method and going slowly. I got through section 2 with no problem on this shawl. I learned to slow down and concentrate on what I was doing rather than just going blithely along.

Has anyone printed out the line by line instructions for this week? This is the first time I am unable to do it. Also, have you noticed that page 5 is missing. Thanks, this has been a great KAL.

I printed out page 2 and 3, and they came out fine. Pages 1 and 4 printed out small, and I can't read it. I notice there isn't a page 5 also.

I started late. First KAL. I am trying not to give up....(but from all the comments I seem to be the only person with any issues....: ( ......) for some reason on section 4 at line 85 I am doing something incorrect and cannot figure out what it is. I have rewatched section 3 of the KAL as it is the lace line that is giving me trouble. I have started section 4 over once again and have THE SAME issue. I will try and explain. I counted stitches and had 176. When I got to the spine section you are supposed to have two stitches left to YO purl 2. I only have the one stitch left. Then I get to the opposite side where you are supposed to have 3 stitches left...I have 4. My spine looks fine. My markers have not slipped. Does anyone have a suggestion? I really wanted to accomplish this and cannot believe I have come this far to keep getting the lace row wrong when I did not have the issue in section 3.

First, Lori I am so sorry you are struggling! Is it possible you are losing the YO before you go to the next stitch? Sometimes the stitch marker interferes with the YO and we can lose it. Do you still have the open lace holes down the spin? Have you had a chance to ask the KAL Facebook Group this question and maybe post pictures? There are many people in there that are able and willing to help when I'm not available. The link to the FBGroup is in the video description box.

Hi, Marly. I watched this on CC because I needed to keep quiet and wanted to get the bind-off that everybody is raving about. Just so you know, the CC is really terrible, full of typos and such. You might ask whoever does the CC to make sure it is proofread before it gets added to the video!
