The more I listen to it, the more I think it has the potential to win. It's intimate, very emotional, sincere and it deals with such a universal and heartmoving theme. In these trying times, we all have been confronted with the idea of losing someone dear, or even had to deal with it. It's both a song that conveys a Protugese soul, and a message that can be understood, and even more, felt and experienced by everyone through the music. At first I thought it only in my top 10. But no. It's definitely my favorite song from this year, because it's the only one that moves me from inside, touches sometime inside my heart and leaves me with a comforting and yet heart breaking feeling. It's a masterpiece of simplicity. Nothing it out of place, no useless voices or instruments, no gimmicks. Just the raw, and yet so refined, expression of grief, friendship, sadness, hope and melancholy. Everytime I listen to it, I think about the same exact person, and I realise that I never told him exactly how I feel about him, how much he changed my life and how much I love him. Now that he's going to Ukraine to fight for his country, I realise how much he'd leave a hole in my heart if he died. This is why this song moves me so much. It makes me see how much I love someone that could disapear by any moment now.

I cried twice with this song. No other song this year did that. Because of that ione fact, it's my number 1 to win this year! Such moving lyrics and nostalgically fitting music with a good voice and writing at the forefront. Apart from some help from John Blanco, Maro wrote everything HERSELF. She's performed with Salvador Sobral in the past and I think her spirit is one that is very similar to his, which has a love for real music over all this flashy stuff in modern pop which I think Portugal again is reminding Eurovision about. Give her the trophy already!
