What an absolutely beautiful service. This is what the marriage service should be like. Beautiful yet dignified and religious. It's a serious commitment to get married. And I think that's a problem with a lot of couples today. Is that they love each other. But they are not taking the religious and the dignified part, well seriously. The Church of England needs to bring this back. Along with the real {1662} Book of Common Prayer.

It doesn’t need to be brought back - it is always there to be used when appropriate and asked for. It is the keystone of Anglican liturgy.

@@paulknight9260 Try asking for it in most parishes. And see the response you'll get. Also, like trying to find a High Church service in most parishes. The analogy of the needle in a haystack comes to mind.

Absolutely beautiful in language and rhythm....As a Communicant in the Anglican Communion of the Church of Ireland, we are washing away the language and precepts of the Reformed Church....It's throughly embarrassing

No. There is no provision for same-sex marriage, or any other type of same-sex union, in the Book of Common Prayer of the Church of England. There are, however, other Anglican Provinces that do accept this, and disagreement within the Church of England between those who support the current doctrine (as expressed in the Prayer Book), and those who want it to change.
