it's an outrage that Emily Blunt was not nominated for the Oscar! her performance in this movie was mesmerizing. I think it is one of the best performanecs by an actress that I have ever seen! LOVE this film - it is so romantic and - what makes it so wonderful - it's so real.

Very much.From the letters,to their characters,to the events.They only changed a couple of things,one regarding the king,and the other the murder attempt that was made on her by that man.Albert didn't actually get shot(the part was romanticized to show even more his devotion towards Victoria),but he did shield her with his body,that's true.
