I just love these videos and really appreciate you sharing the ups and downs. My parents have a wonderful relationship (married 37 years and together since the age of 12!) but growing up I never saw them fight and honestly thought they never did. Once I moved out in my late teens my mom was talking about being frustrated with my dad and I noticed she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring. They were 2 totally unrelated things (her hands were swollen and she was scared her rings would get stuck- nothing to do with my dad/their marriage) but I panicked thinking they were going to divorce or something! I then learned that it wasn’t that they’d never disagreed but that they just kept it from us (my mom grew up in a house where fighting was loud and angry and she never wanted her kids to experience something like that even though my parents are nothing like that). All this to say that I wish my parents had been a little more open when we were kids to show how to handle disagreements. It would have saved some stress and would have been very helpful to me in my marriage! I really appreciate all you guys share about handling disagreements in a healthy way!!

Wonderful content! Heartening to see that even those married 20+ years are still learning and growing in their marriage and in marital communication! God’s Blessings!
