Elders in our family were like CCTV. This is one hundred percent true. I recall my grand parents running an informal matrimonial set up at their home. Any relative or friend would walk in asking for references. My grand mother knew everything about everyone in the area we lived. She would know their horoscope, job, income, financial status, their family history, encumbrances etc. She would remember everything and provide necessary help. It was a selfless service. Out of happiness, some would give her bangles and kumkum which she took it heartily.
