Dear Sayed, I love most of your lectures. But I have a question so, for sacrifice on our holy imams of Ahlul bait a Christian or a Jew is respected but when it comes to honoring them or marrying them all of a sudden they are categorised under the category of not permissible for marriage to a Muslim girl. I am disappointed that our religion is only for the restriction when it comes to the ladies and the men can do whatever they want. At times I think women are nothing but third graded citizens. I really wish one day Imam of our time reappears and I get to live. Then I will ask him these questions, which all of the scholars are unable to answer. My heart breaks every time you ask a scholar all they do is discriminate us as ladies.

Just watched this.....marrying a Muslim man is also difficult if there is no similar mindsets, you can have the same beliefs but 2 different personalities that clash with each other, which then lead to a nasty divorce and also affect the children.

No. In no way shape or form we accept them, some extremist sunni’s as soon as they see sufism they lie and say that’s shia or related to it. Sufism is not like shia nor sunni.it’s its own thing

Syed I'm a big fan of your lectures but I feel like you with hold from touchy topics and I understand why but how come you didn't touch base on inter and outer sect marriage I know it should not matter in Islam between sunni or shiite but I feel like it ties in like if I am a shiit women and marry a sunni man he is the leader and head of the house his rules must be followed so what if he isn't ok with me teaching the importance of imam Ali and his family or what if he puts them on the same level as the Sahaba may not be against my faith but definitely against what I believe is right and vice versa if a man marry a women from the sunni what if she has a problem with the kids being followers of the prophet family. Same here. Even though we are all Muslims, I would love to hear about both the rulings and surrounding scholarly opinions on intersect marriages between Shia and Sunni individuals. Especially if the Sunni man/woman is moderate and not extreme on imposing their theologies. I would also love to hear about the consequences/advantages, differences in a Shia man marrying a Sunni woman/vice versa, family differences and acceptance as well as the upbringing of sushi children.

Marrying a sunni is haram according to hadiths of ahlulbayt and not recommended according to fatwas of scholars.. Please read Al kafi (main authentic shiite book) for the reference.

Salam. It is not recommended to marry a non shia. But it's not haram. For the exact reason that you said, sunni don't value imam Ali and Ahlelbayt like us. And there is some other differences between us. That's why you should avoid, to have a peaceful life and to keep your faith and you futur childrens faith

What he means is the message that Jesus came with. I guess he should’ve clarified it as ‘true Christianity’ or the message of Jesus and not the what is found in today’s bible, non of which is preserved. So he is correct; I think there is just a misunderstanding/misclarification.
