My husband left me a couple weeks ago he suffers with PTSD and other trauma related disorders. He always says it’s me but in my heart I know it’s his own pain and trauma. I am working on myself and trying to be the wife he needs me to be to deal with all of this but it is so hard when he thinks getting away from a 30 year marriage is the only answer. I’m giving him space and it’s so hard, we have leaned on one and other for everything for so long. My daughter is 14 and it’s just so hard to watch her go through this with us. There are multiple good suggestions in this video. It occurred to me that one thing that can change us most and that leads us to do the things she has mentioned here is charity-- selfless love: "charity suffereth long, and is kind... seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil...hopeth all things, endureth all things". I am still in the middle of my own crisis, but as she said, I know that at least I have changed. My love for God and others is increasing. I have realized that past mistakes and problems with handling things is that I have been focused on myself rather than them.
