There are a few clarifications/additions I would make : First, we are designed to make babies, but that's NOT the ONLY design. We are also to raise a healthy family in a community environment. Second, "know" translates from the bible- in several parts of the Old Testament, to mean intercourse, but the Hebrew word also means to perceive or understand, which could add to the whole act. Finally, talking about rights @ 12:05 - 12: 30- as a human right yes, you can choose to do that, but as a Christian, talking about Spiritual rights, then you certainly should not. So, a Christian absolutely must wait. This was a very good video and I really admire the father-daughter relationship that you have. 🙏🙏

One of the many benefits of saving yourself for marriage is that it reveals the bad apples in the dating game very quickly. If someone just want to get in your pants they will FLEE when they see you are serious about chastity. Media and society glamorize promiscuity to the detriment of the happiness of all. Young women in particular are taught it is empowering to have a decade long rumspringer through their twenties, then are surprised when they get to the other side of 30 unfulfilled and single, or maybe in a dysfunctional relationship due to the emotional baggage they have accumulated through a decade of bad decisions. Young men, similarly, think that having surface level interactions with women in a superficial manner are somehow more fulfilling than a deep connection with a life partner. Our values are backwards, and we are our own worst enemies.

The whole third date "rule" was prevalent 25-15 years ago when I was highly desirable in the market but didn't know what my value meant in terms of getting a husband. It's taken 15 years for me to do the post-mortem while going through even worse failures in some ways. The widespread single dating beliefs are crazy and exceptionally harmful, especially to women. Emotional intimacy (safety through a deep commitment) and feeling special protection from our partner are much more important to women and affect our psychology more than men. I didn't grow up being taught Biblical values and my innate desire to wait until marriage was eroded within months due to the lack of those values in my family and the only boy who seemed persistent with me had the same lack of values. I'm 100% certain, from both being a Born Again believer but also from my personal experience that it would have been 100% better if I had waited until marriage. Now I will be lucky if I get a moderately good husband at my age, and I pray we can still have a meaningful intimate connection with each other due to however many past partners we each have already had (and my number is relatively low since I've abstained for the past 10 years).

I resent your statement that all of this is more destructive, damaging and harmful, "especially to women". Women cheat, lie, use men, manipulate and divorce WAY MORE than men. 80% of divorces are initiated by women. You can't be trusted 'cuz to you , the grass is always greener elsewhere. To say that the security and safety of finding a person you can really trust and share emotional and physical intimacy with is more important to women than men is just plain wrong and immature. The pain I've endured seeking a wife, falling in love, going through the motions, only to be rejected over and over because of some little nit picky prejudice or "red flag" because they're on their 2nd or 3rd marriage and are selfish, quick to find fault, unrepentant and unforgiving... it's mind numbing. This topic concerning being more conservative bringing purity to your life also reminds me of historical precedents from our parents being the influencing factor in a marriage partner from before the 20th century. That time points to no existence of dating which in turn creates less temptation and relying on the wisdom younger folks lack which in turn helps create a good blend and respects the individual's security in life including their spiritual level so in order to be evenly yoked with a believer that holds a proper understanding of God's Word because it takes a solid plumb line to stay on the same page instead of marrying a person that doesn't understand Godly wisdom.

There isn't any, and these old notions about "what makes a long lasting relationship", when looking at the divorce rates amongst religious and non-religious couples, doesn't hold any water.
