This was very beautiful, and I notice since this film was made there has been a lot of progress thanks to all the hard working people fighting for equality. 2015 might be the year gay marriage is legal nation wide.

It's hurtful, shameful and humiliating that those families are being treated as inferior. That documentary is very inspiring for hoping and fighting for a change.

I don't care they are gay or not. The great thing is raising kids. I hope every single kid can get their own parents in the world.

Homosexualty is about being different from birth and the right to love who we want. Now shove your stupid ideas back up your arse.

I think you have reliable parents or adult. Some kids grow up in the street. As long as they do their best as human being. I respect. This world is too small to hide sad news. Please do something for the poor kids if you say so.

Yes just quote the Bible. Don't bother to think about anything of importance. Let Dogma do your thinking for you.

Things will continue to change for the better, it's happening fast and will continue in that same speed. We have to continue the fight, and never give up.

In the near future, would it be OK to have 2 brothers that are gay to marry to each other?

Interesting that this program was posted a year before DOMA section 3 was struck down by SCOTUS. 17 states have marriage equality and counting. It will be only a matter of time before DOMA section 1 and 2 are struck down as well, and for marriage equality to be mandated in all 50 states. As a newlywed in California I have to say I was surprised by how supportive and welcoming my family has been about my marriage, how supportive the state of CA has been, and how supportive the federal government has been. Every person we have met in person has been supportive and congratulated us on our marriage, and that's the way it should be.

I would think if we can legalize same sex marriage in every state, Sections 1 and 2 of DOMA wouldn't technically need to be struck down, they just would be completely irrelevant anyway. Is there more to it?

Since you stated that we should be allowed to legally marry who we choose. Here is one for you: Would it be ok if you had a sister and marry her?
@markwilkie76338 жыл бұрын
Marriage is unique because it involves the union of two humans. When a man and woman engage in sexual intercourse (in which the word "sexual" only has meaning because of more than one sex involved) their bodies literally unite into one physical entity. The result of such a union is so strong (assuming contraceptive aren't used) that in nine months you may even have to call it a name. The law can call whatever it wants "marriage” and give the participating parties the civil perks. However, I am not arguing this. I am informing society that homosexual activity is not physically unitive.

We don't need a biology lesson. Gays and Lesbians can be good parents and are already raising children to become successful adults. Now get a life.

It takes more than responsibility to raise kids.

You're right. It also takes love. On both accounts these gay couples are clearly and totally qualified, despite your creative theories on sexual intercourse.
@markwilkie76338 жыл бұрын
Sam Andros For example, you can't just "marry" any consenting group of couples and call them "united" in the fullest sense. To unite unlike anything else requires consummation of the marriage, or intercourse. Because 2 women can't unite in consummation, neither can men. In other words, gay women are not physically qualified to marry. It's a physical impossibility.

Mark Wilkie Crsp. Not all marriages are even about children...particularly older couples and people who cannot have children. And not all Gay or Lesbian couples even want children...oaf!

Dead people, animals, and children cannot consent to marriage legally, so of course they could not get married. Your missing the point of the whole video, which is that there is a separate treatment of LBGT citizens because of DOMA. DOMA is unconstitutional and discriminatory, but thanks for trolling.
