You are right about focusing on excellence instead of obsessing about relationships. But you also need other people because good relationships are beneficial . Develop a strategy to befriend, network or collaborate with good people who are excelling in different areas of life. In other words, build relationships with purpose. Also consider building a relationship with God. Are you aware that Jesus Christ loves you very much and deeply cares about you and you need Him? Had a friend who we were so compatible, we had so much chemistry. We would go for hours talking, we sometimes even go out. But he told me not to get emotionally attached coz he had a girlfriend. I have never met his girlfriend or heard her call all this while so I thought he wasn't being honest. We kissed a few times and as time went by I got emotionally attached. When he realised I was now attached that's when the girlfriend would come by. We had a big fight, now he doesn't want to talk to me. I tried apologizing but all in vein. I know I need to let go, but it hurts

Even if the person you are dating has the best character in the world, make sure you are physically attracted to the person, make sure they have the looks you are looking for. Don’t let anyone lie to you that looks are not important. They are extremely important.. If you are not physically attracted to each other, you’ll loose affection in the marriage. If someone had told me before, I wouldn’t have married my husband. Now I don’t know how to get out.

@@labanmureithi8029 I also believe the same this is why I only like to date tall, hansome guys but I'm told I'm being superficial and arrogant. I said ok, and those who are dating short, fat guys and men old enough to be their grandfathers should I start calling them gold-diggers, since I'm being given names for my own choice ?
@labanmureithi80293 жыл бұрын
@@durbansaladyinaccra2173 I guess in the end what matters most is what turns you on. Or what gets you going. I've seen ladies who like the opposite of what you do... With their own reasons ofcourse. To me it matters that you are first attracted to the person you want to be with - at first sight if possible. There has to be that attraction before anything else. So you are right to like what you like... And to express it. Most people have no idea what they like.

In regard to what you said about disregarding your parents wishes, I would quote the bible: "Honor thy father and mother: that thy days may be long in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee," Exodus 20:12. This is a promise that God will surely fulfill to the obedient. No true Christian will marry without due consideration for his parent's wishes.

But when you let go of the fear and start trying to be vulnerable or develop feelings for someone who shows interest and he suddenly goes quiet or claims to be really busy after the first date, how do you prevent the fear and being emotionally closed in from coming back, especially when he begins to send his messages in a very official manner that is when he has time to send you one e.g thank you for checking on me. I appreciate your kind gesture.
@gaucholemaestro2 жыл бұрын
Dont open up too fast when you start to date, try to read him and get to him first before you open up. Most people who open up quickly do not get to learn who their partner is first and when you open to him, he doesn’t know how to ha dle and closes off. Pole
