Thank you so much. I am blessed by your teaching.I now realize that love is the ultimate despite the differences in beliefs. When you show your partner that pure love of God towards him or her then maybe through that God can open there eyes to see things the way you see it but if that doesn’t happen still let love leads.

Thank you so much for giving me hope. 🙏😔 My parents are Catholics and I personally consider myself on religious journey to discover myself and god on my own. After two years of having best friend Muslim guy, we both fell in love with each other and want to marry. I feel like my values and beliefs are closer to his rather than of my parents. But my mum doesn't want me to marry him for his background. I try to obey my parents, but I can't imagine being with someone according to my parent's wish. 😔 I felt very depressed long time because I wasn't sure if I do the right thing and don't do what parents want me to be. But I can't anymore, I can't be someone else because of them. I just hope to keep good relationship with them despite this all.

I haven't been able to convert to please my husband. I don't even know how to express how much suffering I'm going through. I don't even know if this would have happened to me in my original religion. Maybe it's just a hormonal disturbance.

Maybe you need to focus on love and not the difference. Maybe conversion is not as big a deal as your mind is telling you it is.

I'm trying to understand.. being "unequally yoked," as it mentions in the Bible. If my partner doesn't believe in God & I'm a Christian, Jesus is my lord & savior..... Bible says not to be unequally yoked... should we leave the relationship? ... I'm torn because I'm not 100% sure what's right.

We must put God first (not scripture, but communion), but then our spouse is next in line for our love and service. If you are not yet married you will be setting both of you up if you get married and start a family.

@@TheMarriageFoundation setting up for failure?

The problem arises not only from parents but talking about raising kids. Christianity and Islam, is the worst match and it's better to go for the same faith. Even the best personality match won't be enough.
