i remember falling down the mars argo rabbit hole in late 2016. i was going through a breakup and i needed something to take my mind of things. she became this mythological figure, no one knew what happened or where she was and back then we didn't even know her name with certainty. i'm so happy Brittany is confident and feels safe enough to willingly share such an intimate part of her life with us, it doesn't go unnoticed.

I always wondered how many people actually went down that rabbit hole in 2016. I was coming of age and at the end of high school when I was watching Titanic and Mars videos on KZbin. I had a baby when Poppy came out and I was so baffled by it. So many people loved Poppy videos but nobody was talking about Mars. I refused to give Poppy attention until she came out with I Disagree (and I loved it), I was so proud of Poppy, and now it seems like she's going back to being a Mars knock-off. I'm so upset that I even tried to support her. I wish now, more than ever, that Mars comes back.

This song and now the mv are really meaningful to me. I know it's weird to say because it's a home video of another person but I went through some traumatic things and felt like my innocence was taken from me. I used to cry whenever i saw old pictures and wish that I could go back to the lighthearted person I was as a kid. I still mourn the person I was before sometimes, but eventually you start to heal. One day you'll be doing something normal like watching tv, listening to music or chilling with a friend and realise you feel normal and have enjoyed your time without anything weighing you down. You feel like your old self again. A piece will always be missing but It's one of those times where you cry your eyes out while smiling because for the first time in a while you genuinely believe that you're gonna be okay. That feeling gives you strength. I felt the same way when I first listened to the song and now watching the videos I couldn't help but tear up a little. It's one of my "blast this and sing at the top of your lungs while driving down the highway at sunset because you finally feel free" songs 😂😂 Anyways sorry for the essay. I wanted to share bc I know I'm not the only person who might have felt this way. Remember you are more than what has happened to you!! Can't wait for the upcoming songs ❤❤
