wetwafers I interpret it to mean that Mrs Stadler is still alive - that they were part of the same artsy scene with a generation gap. When the mentor Mrs Sadler gets too old for the scene, she longs for the singer to come visit, which brings back good memories for the younger woman, but they can never have the same bond as they did as a young woman and an older woman who still fit in with a younger crowd. Now they are a young woman and an old woman. It causes the singer to fer her own impending aging; she fears what has become of the older Mrs Stadler. "Your life will happen anyway" - Mrs Stadler is still alive; the singer is guilty that she treats her memory as though she is already dead

+ZeranZeran lot of bands are like that, you have to get past through the whole thing at least once to really get a good idea of the music. This album was not composed like the pop music Mars Argo later did. They were totally sucked into the indie bubble for this album's work, you can tell. It's probably Titanic's most serious work as far concepts and all that. It's impossible to listen to the first 10 seconds and judge it from there... the second half of the song is the best bit. I think even years later this is one of the nicest songs Titanic put together. It's different from his recent stuff
