Not so much "went with" as thats what inspired him to make the film in the first place. It was an homage or spoof of the films he grew up with. Thats the only reason this works. Had it been a little more generic or mainstream it would have been just another bad movie.

I used to have one of them large cell phones that dim the lights of a vehicle when you used it. Always had a signal though.
@anb7408 Ай бұрын
Damn right! You could probably get a signal on Mars with those bag phones! I miss mine. No dead signals anywhere!

7:40 watching this as an adult, I realise how traumatising it must have been to watch your child die on TV

Anyone notice that the landing gear alone would take up most of the interior of the saucer?

Pretty bad engineering for an advanced civilization. Plus those pointy legs wouldn't be very stable.

Yes And the gang-plank too... I was annoyed the OP cut its cartoonish deployment out of this clip. But all that was deliberately done in the movie to look like it came out of a Buggs Bunny scene! Great touches!

So the dove flying toward them is what started the war? 😅
@Emmanuel-ms8pr Ай бұрын
Actually the dove didint cause the war due to that the aliens already knew their plan for attacking earth due to that one of the ufos burned the cows before escaping back to space and they came down to earth just to have fun and mess with the humans by pretending to be offended
@1SqueakyWheel Ай бұрын
They were like bored little children finding creatively awful new ways to burn ants and blow up toads for shits n giggles.
