Great video - I now want to add this game to my Christmas wish list!

I've been looking up a lot about this game, as I'm interested in getting a copy. I've played Deadzone a couple times, which I found to be a much friendlier version of Necromunda, which my gaming group plays. Mantic have a really simple, stripped down set of rules which make sure you spend more time playing than looking up rules, and would rather let the players do things, rather than penalise them for it, which we've found with Necromunda a lot of the time. Here in England, Mars Attacks! is just the Tim Burton film which you mention, which is what peaked my interest when I heard about the game, and wondered if it was indeed the Mars Attacks! I know. I was very happy to see it was! Then researching this game, I discovered the history of the IP, which this game seems to draw more from. I've not heard anything bad about the game and it's fairly safe to say I'll be picking up a copy soon. (And as a bonus, my brother who plays Deadzone said he may end up getting the Deadzone crossover cards for them, haha!) A great review of the game, you cover a lot in 20 minutes, but with good detail and enthusiasm for the game. You've got a new subscriber here!

Hi there, Marco. First off, thanks for the review, and yes, the game is indeed a lot of fun! I thought I'd just address something you mention in your video, that is, the game's connection to the movie, or lack thereof. Just to clarify, the game is NOT related with the movie at all. The game is a follow up to the original Topps trading card series (on which the movie was based) and subsequent IDW comic book series.

Marco: Thanks for the review; I've been thinking about picking this one up. You might also want to look into Mantic's Deadzone. Very different theme (dark far-future sci-fi), but it adds a lot more tactical depth on top of the same core game mechanics as Mars Attacks. Downside is the minis don't come assembled.

Basically it plays like simplified Warhammer 40k, and that's not a bad thing.
