I have this light as well as the fc6500 , I replaced a 1000 watt CMH DE in a big 4x4 with the fc 4800 and it is beautiful but ran too cool for my Saskatchewan basement 20c , the 6500 runs at 23c with driver in the tent ! I can tell you that it is unbelievable compared to my hid that I fought high temperature for 40 years and the plants are beefy , chunky , dense and I can't believe the performance ! Got the ts 600 for seedlings and clone's and it's also a killer light ! I went from pulling 1700 watts from the wall over 3 tents to about 1000 total including Bloom tent , veg and clone's ......more bud , more , light , less heat , what's not to like ?? Had a 6" running full power 24/7 , now 4" turned down to 50% ! The only gripe is , $1400 for the fc6500 and $1000 for the 4800 , right now I feel it was more than worth it !

Uv added 2 hrs a day mid light cycle for the last two weeks of flower will indeed increase resin production. These lights are designed to give your plants 800 to 900 ppfd in a 4x4 space at 12" above the canopy. 28" above the canopy at 75% power is just robbing your plants of their potential and dry bud weight. Youd only be hitting around 500ppfd which is what vegetative stage likes not bloom. 700 to 900 ppfd is the magic number for huge yeilds if your not using c02

So I purchased the FC4800 in Dec of 2020. I used it for 3 grows and it did a great job. Now for the bad part, the customer service! I have just started a grow in the beginning of this month April 2022. I noticed a a few diodes out and out of the 6 bars, 5 of them had at least 1 diode out. Two bars actually have 6 diodes out! I contacted Mars Hydro through their customer support email. After going back and forth for about 4 days through email, sending numerous videos and pics of the issue, their solution was to send me 5 new bars. First of all this isn’t the FCE4800 so I have no clue how to replace these bars when they arrive if they ever do. Mars Hydro informed me through an email I received today, April 21, 2022, that the bars are not in stock and that I would “just have to wait” for 3 months till they are back in stock. Now the fixture worked great when it was working properly but if your gonna pay $600 for a light and then be told you “just have to wait”for 3 months when a warranty issue arises I would really reconsider for a different company that takes better care of their customers. I wasn’t offered any options other than to just wait. Absolutely horrible customer service!

I never thought I would give Kudos to Mars! Finally a company is staggering the reds. Back in 2014 I collaborated with Nick (the BML, now Fluence) who at that time was offering 2 @ 6 bar 100w lights @ $1000 (one for V and one for B) to develop ONE light that could be used for both V and B. I suggested I could tweak a SPYDR 600 to do so, which at $1000 would equal a lot more buyers. There were a lot of ideas that could not be implemented due to how the individual diodes were mounted . Then and even until seeing this today, the diode lay out was fixed, repeating every ~ 14", which led to venetian blind lines of reds, blues, and any other spectrums, like the CW, NW, WW seen in this light, lining up on all adjacent bars. At least the BML SPYDR 's individual bars mounted to a central spine, could be slid for and aft which allowed me to stagger them. Seems fairly priced, too

@@neocaridaniel8220 I have the SF4000, I find it to a great value....hundreds of positive reviews on Amazon
These people send used goods, faded stickers, bent cases with traces of corrosion. Never buy anything from them. You have to return the goods at your own expense, they do not pay for postage, the cost of returning a postal parcel is $ 37. I was no longer the only one who ordered goods and received garbage from them, which can only be placed in a landfill. Look at the reviews in the official MarsHydro Official Store aliexpress They do not make contact, they refuse to pay for the delivery of their used goods. I will return the bad product, you will be the next buyer of the product!
