Thanks! Yes, they co-rule Scorpio, together they mean “hidden weapons.” Pl is generational so it only matters re the house it’s in and aspects. If conjunct Mars, it emphasizes the drive for control/power, constructively that can be used for long term gains (self-control, never giving up), destructively it can mean obsession, violence, revenge, secrecy and control issues. Sexually there’s usually an interest in bdsm, again can be positive or not depending on how it’s expressed. Hope that helps!

Hey Abby ☺ Can you please elaborate on Mars in Scorpio in the 12th house? Will Mars (The ruler of my Scorpio rising) still stand dignified & assert itself or will it be completely shut down? Do I come off like the "Unmistakable" Underdog who lashes out all of a sudden and surprises everybody?(Pluto conjunct ascendant in first house). Will the dark, shadow side of Mars in Scorpio (Resentment, Passive Aggressiveness, manipulation, etc) show more often hence it being in the 12th house? My Mars in Scorpio is also part of a tight Grand Cross. I'm really lost... Such a complex Birth chart I have.

I'm not surprised you say your "lost," because the 12th house is like a personal blind spot. Think of planets there as ones you can't see clearly, even if everyone else can! If your Mars is in H12 I'd recommend watching Mars in Pisces, because like Pisces, H12 diffuses Mars' energy. Just when you think you have a grasp on it, it slips away from you. But this also means you act (Mars) with more compassion and have more empathy for those who suffer, and that's a good thing. It doesn't necessarily bring out the "bad" side of Scorpio, but it may dissolve the overt intensity/focus, at times. You will have to access your Mars energy through "back door" means, such as meditation, dream journals, art and creative endeavors (movement-related ones like dance or tai-chi are excellent), yoga, etc. because H12 represents the unconscious. As your chart ruler, Mars takes on even more significance as the ultimate motivations behind your rising sign. That's all I can say without doing your chart... hope it helps!

Hey, thank you for this video - I've got this placement and many things resonate with me, though not all. I feel I've got the stamina, but more often I don't feel I'm in control, more like I'm being controlled. It's in my 12th house, so if you can comment on that, it'd be great.

The 12th house is your blind spot, so I'm not surprised you don't feel in control. A planet in H12 is like something you can only see with your peripheral vision, not head-on, so you have to "access" it in different ways, like tapping into your subconscious through a dream journal, meditation, compassion for others, etc. It can be really frustrating to have Mars here, because H12 is constantly trying to dissolve the energy of a planet here. It's hard to assert yourself (Mars) with this placement! Try watching Mars in Pisces, because that is similar to the characteristics of Mars in H12. Good luck!
