I bought the Mars lander, in the beginning it would show a number for hash rate something like 228 GH/s, now there is no number just GH/s. Is it broken or is this normal with no number for GH/s?

Hey dude, love the videos! question for you - I have one of these and it was running fine up until I moved apartment. As a result I need to get it connected to my new wifi, would you have any idea how to do this? I've tried online searches and am struggling to find out

I am sorry but $700 bucks just for some cool looking RGB lights in not worth it. And now that the new Avalon Nano 3 is out this is basically as good as a paper weight.

The Mars rover currently goes for $430, just so that no one gets confused. But still, as I mention in the video. This lottery miner is not profitable and I think only fits for certain situations.

@@NordicCrypto okay so they put the price down. Just to be clear this mars lander right now offers no value at any situation. Not in solo mining nor in pool mining. Now that the Avalon Nano 3 is out this is useless. You are paying for pretty overpriced RGB lights and thats it. Even with the addons to get more hash rate that bitcoinmerch offers this is still useless compared to the Avalon Nano 3.

Because it's a piece of junk and the owner of BC Merch deletes all negative reviews (1 & 2 stars) on his website every 3-4 weeks.

Yes you can. You can use it for pool mining. However the amount you get is close to none

It would be around $0.75 in income per month and around $1.22 in electric cost. That is when putting in a 0.1 USD/KwH cost

Sounds like a rip off! The Mars Lander has a small chance of successfully mining a block and by participating in a mining pool, you can earn smaller, more consistent rewards in the form of Satoshis. Their sales pitch is buying this product mining a successful block the reward is 6.25 BTC. I rather buy a lotto ticket for $1 instead spending $430.

The chance of hitting a bitcoin block solo mining is indeed not that high (close to 0). However, it have happened before and will surely happen again

It is a $429 lottery ticket.

Pretty much, but this lottery ticket is scratched/re-newed every single day. So each day it's a "brand new lottery ticket". And it costs around $2.2 in electric per month to run. I am not sure what a lottery ticket costs, but I guess this needs to run for half a year until this would have "been more worth it" compared to buying a lottery ticket every single day. If one buys a lottery ticket every single day for half a year, then this "lottery miner" I guess currently makes more sense (at least on paper).

@@NordicCrypto The problem is people waste money on these things in the same way and for the same reasons people buy lottery tickets. The people most likely to buy these things are the people who can least afford to spend the money. Everyone is looking for extra cash, not a toy, not a lottery ticket, and nodes staking, DePin and mining rarely pay out unless you are early or have the money to buy the best of the best in miners. I have had a half dozen nodes over the last 7 years and not a single one is still supported by the original company and none of them earn anything more than pennies. All non mainstream mining goes that way, it is inevitable.

You are correct! 90% of crypto projects don't survive more than a cycle. Most profitable people within crypto have been people investing in Bitcoin and simply holding

Hit a block chances are minimal . I just bought for fun or hoping that bitcoin goes to the moon . I have free electricity so don’t mind. The miner is on now on braiins pool . I am mining for over 1 month now . I “ made “ 0.10 usd in rewards ! So that will take how many years before I break even ? 😅😮
