Mars Retrograde in Leo and Cancer: Stalled progress and sluggish movement

I had a cosmetic surgery When Mars retrograde was in Gemini. I did a horary reading with a professional horary astrologer and the astrologer advised me against saying that I’ll likely need a revision surgery. I followed my gut instinct and went ahead with the surgery anyway. The surgery went well and I’m happy with my results, the only thing was the doctor forgot to take out three stitches which is not a big deal. I had them taken out easily. I’m glad I didn’t wait until Mars retrograde was over. Sometimes it’s not as bad as we think it’ll be, it manifests differently for each person.

I was planning lasik surgery in December, but decided to wait until end of feb. I am 6 degree Scorpio rising which is highly affected by this retrograde. I just didn’t want to take risk on my eye. iF only I not interested in astrology or havent watched several reader warned about surgery complication during Mars retrograde, I might go ahead with my lasik. But now I can’t hehe I would be too anxious and overthinking… our mind is so strong that if we fear and we might manifest that negative thought in to 3D

Hey Kelly! Thank you for the brilliant overview..this Rx will happen through my 8th and 7th house (Capri rising here), and I can feel that it's related to my starting the Instagram account for my business - i.e. actually making it public. I've been waiting to feel when the right time is, and now it feels like that's the time and I really resonated with the idea of concentrated efforts, dedicating lots of attention to my finances, streams of income, becoming more of a freelance (gaining control over that part of my life), and also topics relating to visibility and sharing with others. It's all starting to make sense now!

Mars will be retrograding from my 11th house back into my 10th house (29 degree Cancer cusp). Pluto has just entered my 5th house. I have taken leave from my job, and am re-evaluating my job/career.

This will be the first Mars retrograde where I’m tracking transits… curious to see how it will play out! Mars will be transiting through my 10th & 9th house, while Pluto just entered my 4th, Some themes of life that align nicely here: working on compiling & finishing the edits for my first book of poetry (written already but needs assembling), a major passion project and big part of what feels like my life’s work; while also continuing cultivation of the home & land my partner & I bought (when Pluto did its first ingress into Aquarius!!!) and hope to develop as a retreat space & intentional community. Cracks me up how many of these themes were already in play before I started studying astrology seriously, and so so grateful for the ways increased knowledge/awareness can help me to structure and make sense of my life as it’s playing out 🫶🏼✨

I had to course correct after the Mars retrograde in Gemini & I noticed the same pattern after other Mars retrogrades too. During Mars Rx in Gemini, I went in a certain direction with my business which i had to correct after the retrograde and cancel certain things. During another retrograde i purchased a plane ticket to move to another location, which I ended up not needing as things worked out well where I was but it took time. I hope Mars will be kind this time! 🙂

Wow, similar experience: Mars is retro in my 4th (I'm a 4th house sun + part of fortune (+I've got lots of Aries). SO many house projects- on the day mars entered my 4th the furnace was replaced (so literal!). Then the garage door opener broke...the list goes on. Love your podcasts Kelly!!

Mars Retrograde sounds a lot like a "normal" Saturn energy. Focussed, deliberate, and slow effort to get somewhere. Cancer in 1st, so 1st/2nd house stuff going on. 1st house profection year. I'm really relieved to hear that I still have time to nail what I'm trying to put into place regarding my identity going forward. Also Cancer 1st house Sun, ruler of 2nd.

Mars will be retrograde in my 7th house backing into my 6th. Natally, I have Mars at 1°Aquarius, (29° Capricorn Asc.) Thinking, perhaps, I might get clarity regarding an ongoing health condition.

If you are using whole sign houses, then mars will move from your 8th to your seventh. Pluto will be conjoining your natal mars in the 2nd house of earnings and self worth.
