I am doing my first this weekend in Spain. Hoping to get a similar time as that is what my half marathon time is approximately. Running a marathon is one thing but running it sub4 and then sub3 is a whole different superhuman.

@@entertheglow5851 They ran it in 5 hours 28 minutes with two weeks of training! No an easy thing to do. Crazy the different muscles it takes to run as these guys are as fit as they come!
@entertheglow58512 жыл бұрын
@@ADM-wt9cn 2waaawaeeeks (Total Recall undercover lady) 8-) Thanks for your reply! Wow 2 weeks is not much time at all and yes they are overall fit so they're carrying a lot of extra muscle that isn't used. I know the feeling as I play basketball and have a little bit more upper body/shoulders than your seasoned runner and I feel like I have to carry the extra weight which slows me down but doing lots of training you become faster and more efficient as you say different muscles and constant training gets you there. They also stopped a fair bit during the video and did probably more food than standard so I would even say if they just focused on the run they could get an even faster time. Impressed they finished with almost no time to prepare, definitely a hard gig, was fun to watch.

I once ran the NY Marathon on 2-weeks notice. I was in fairly good shape at the time, so cardio/endurance/strength wasn't the issue. Came in under 4 hours.
