i operate a marsh master frequently for work patrolling transmission power lines they do have diesel engines and they do get stuck but not that often once you learn to operate it if you think anything with tracks will go thru that you are wrong marsh masters ability to float makes going thru stuff like that a breeze there is no heat so the winter sucks it does not like moving water and is not fast in any water the cost is around $100000 for the ones that we have

I think you posted that to the wrong guy... I don't see why you couldn't use a Diesel. I would think almost anything is possible. It is quite a flexible design.
