I always find these comparisons lacking when it comes to KZbin videos. The reason is this is recorded through who knows and then edited and compressed to upload to KZbin. These amps are for LIVE performances. The Reissue vs Original are so small that even if you could hear or feel the difference all you would need is an EQ pedal to rectify the situation. I would almost bet money that if you were standing there blindfolded and listened to both amps you couldn't tell the difference. Because if you could then that would mean you have virgin ears and have not been near one of these ever. Because after years of playing I have lost that finite distinction of picking out small subtitles. Not to mention who cares if you have a JCM reissue or not. Just Play the thing man. Stop worrying about your tone down to the micro tonal capacity. LOL As guitar players we suffer from tone envy. Getting Vintage equipment is a plus but not the end all be all. Happy Playing people

The video was recorded for anyone looking for this type of content. I agree with you that the differences are not justified, but that is not the intention. You are assuming and you are right to try to identify, but at no point was there a statement of better or worse, although I agree that there is a worldwide preference for vintage.

I think vintage Marshalls have more beef and chunk. The reissues sound great, but they're missing that.
