One of the best sounding demos of the Mini Jubilee head. Nicely done!

Great demo, thanks a million for spending ample time showing the clean and mild classic, lower to mid gain properly. That’s mostly how I would use it yet see so many demos of it just with sizzling mass gain, or guys who don’t clean it up well enough. Your les paul with lower output PAF style tones, really helped this demo nicely . You now have me seriously considering this one. I’m still trying to decide between this or the Friedman little sister.

So, the jubilee is gorgeous. It’s nice to know money can still buy some happiness. I happened across a little known Marshall Studio 30 from 87’. It was single channel that had a gain control. The gain could be controlled by guitar volume pot. It was, the most beautiful sound I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning. To this day, I do not know why I sold it. If you ever come across one, grab it. Regards

This is my favorite amp too. Amazing the tones you can achieve with a 50s wired Les Paul, the channels and the volume and tone knobs. The amp grit and distortion sounds better without pedals in my opinion, even in this demo. Really nicely done demo. I play this amp with a LP with 57 classics, LP with P90s, Telecaster with 4way switch Texas Custom Pickups and Stratocaster Shawbucker with Fat 50s. All these classic guitars shine on this amp. I have it matched to the 2x12 cab originally built for the 50 watt Jubilee with V30s and it sounds astounding. Add some delay and a touch of reverb through the fantastic effects loop as well. I have some other amps that provide specialized tones for this and that. But this is by far my favorite and most versatile. Check out my single released at the end of 2018 "Coffee to Go". That track is dripping with tones from this amp.

Great video.....nice playing my Mini Silver Jubilee and my vintage JCM 800’s are the best amps Marshall has ever made....so versatile and such a crisp clear sound without sounding harsh... And I my JCM’s are 30 years old and they haven’t needed any repair....that’s why you spend the extra money.....Quality.. Watch the Marshall amp tour and see a lot of the amp work is done by hand by skilled people who have been at Marshall for generations...

I have a JCM 800 2204, how does the Mini Jubilee sound compared to the 800? Can it be played at lower volumes, what about the tone. Is it more compressed than the 800? Appreciate your opinion! Thx

No way ! I have this as well a YJM 100 and a Satriani JVM . The only thing this jubilee excels at is the clean sounds compared to the other two . Its cleans are great for a marshall. Its a good amp , but i think the YJM100 has an organic ness to it that's matched by no other marshall. then when you engage the boost it roars like a lion . The satriani amp clean tones aint great but its JCM800 take was good. its high gain sounds are good as well . No where near as fizzy as the original JVM. I bought this amp because it was portable and giggle . It cuts through a mix

Have been using this app for about five years I have the black studio jubilee version which came out in 2015. However at that time I was playing mostly 80s music live now doing a lot of cream and blues breaker Clapton so I am using a LPB 68 deluxe through the clean channel switching between that and a versus straight flush, still having the dirty channel dialed in with a super lead Tom tone pedal ran through the effect loop. It’s fucking amazing. Excuse my language just love it man you can really make this more versatile with a few petals and take it anywhere. It gets rid of the ice pickiness too, when you use the pedals. 8:53

I'd say the master volume is so good, you can easily get a great bedroom-level sound with high power settings.
@PantheonLincoln5 жыл бұрын
@@zelon1983 That's just what I wanted to hear! There's no such thing as a truly "quiet" valve (or "tube" depending on where you live) amp, but some do work well on lower settings. They are completely different. The DSM is always fat, has looser bottom end and more rounded highs. The jubilee is raspier, rawer and cuts through better, it also has a better master volume. I prefer the jubilee most of the time, but the lead tones on DSM's highest gain stage are amazing.

Why does everyone associate this amp with Slash? He hardly used this and doesn't in concert. He's a JCM 800 2203 guy. However i got this amp a few months ago and it delivers that Marshall sound. It's a little darker then the JCM 800, but still sounds like it. It roars and can blow your head clean off. I also have a Jcm 2000 DsL 50, which sounds completely different.
@EB17754 жыл бұрын
Which do you like better DSL or Jube and why?
@guitarexpert22454 жыл бұрын
@@EB1775 They are just different. The JCM 2000 really has that Marshall sizzle. While the Jubilee is more compressed but sounds more classsic. I don't like one better than the other. Just different. Speakers made more of a difference.
@sleepnaught4 жыл бұрын
Old comment, but i needed to correct this. Slash used the Marshall 2555 Jubilee live from 1988 to 2003, when switched to the Marshall Vintage Modern for a few years with Velvet Revolver. He used the Marshall AFD 100 with his solo band, but went back to Jubilees for the Guns N' Roses reunion tour. You can watch a recent tour of his live gear with his tech, Adam Day on KZbin. Cool stuff! Here's a photo of his rig during the Use Your Illusion tour back in the early 90s www.slashparadise.com/equipment/live-gear-guns-n-roses-03-amps.jpg He uses two Jubilees in stereo for the dirty sound, a third for his clean sound with KT88 tubes, and a 4th exclusively for his Heil Talk box, which IIRC, used 6550 tubes. Now, from the UYI albums in on wards, with exception of one or both of the Snakepit albums, he used a Marshall JCM 800 2203, with 6550 tubes, for the majority of his dirty tone. He also used some Fender amps for clean/oddball sounds on the Velvet Revolver albums. The solos albums were all done with the JCM 800 as well.

Thanks. This seems to be the number 1 question people ask me. I personally can't choose, that's why I'm keeping them all :-) I can tell you which amp I play most though - it's the Victory. That's because it sounds most organic to me and works great with some of my amp-in-a-box pedals. That's not to say the other two don't, I just personally find the sound of the Sheriff most pleasing. All 3 are fantastic amps, you can't go wrong.
@zelon19837 жыл бұрын
Btw, if you're planning on playing live most of the time, then I think the Marshall will cut through best
@emreemre3697 жыл бұрын
You mean amp-in-a-box pedals into the clean amp or pedals to push the overdriven amp? I am most interested in the latter, and the word is that Sheriff is not great for the job. You sound pretty good with the pedals in the Sheriff video. But will it do higher gain with pedals without getting raspy, harsh, unpeasant etc? Higher gain like Van Halen levels.
@zelon19837 жыл бұрын
I put these pedals mostly into the clean amp. I think it's nonsense that sheriff doesn't work good with pedals. Imo it works GREAT with pedals and whoever says it's too raspy etc. clearly never gigged or recorded. It's way less raspy than most iconic marshalls and it's this raspiness that let's you cut through and stand out in a mix (it's no longer unpleasant then). The Sheriff may not make the greatest first impression, but it grew greatly in my eyes.
