I started listening to Relapse again and it hit harder than ever. He helped me get clean again. I'm clean from them now, but will I let them go forever? I don't think so, but I will never abuse them again. I work out, I eat healthy etc. I think it's okay if you take them sometimes. It's accepted that people drink alcohol, I just don't drink. I get super depressed of alcohol. I still want to get a buzz sometimes and keep my mind off things. Just keep your usage in check and don't make it your life.

I keep myself awake at night thinking about the shit I've done...I promise you - I'm here). We can stumble, we can trip, we can fall, just as long as we don't give up. At least that's what I tell myself. It's so hard on the bad days, let alone the days I can barely function with my husband and kids. If life were easy we wouldn't be getting great songs like this to unite us. I don't feel like I'm saying what I'm trying to say. Just...if we are all here commenting on this page about this stuff, not just this thread, we have a common bond. And it comes from a place of love. Hate - those that enable us or don't believe in us or give up on us or tear us down - makes you ugly and nobody likes ugly people. Beauty comes from within. WE are beautiful. I'm still not saying it how I want. I'm in your corner, okay? Sitting right there with you and the others who want to sit yet walking right there with others who want to walk. You gotta do “Undergound” which is the last song from the Relapse album. Lyrical masterpiece!

This one of my favorite songs. The beat, his flow, the truth behind what he's saying about himself can apply to a lot of us.

They actually found him overdosed on the bathroom floor of his house. At the hospital they said a couple more hours and he'd be dead.

Yo Stevie Just wanted to say congrats on being sober a year as I just hit a full eight years sober this past November 6th... it's just one day, one hour, one minute, one second at a time. Keep it up my dude and I'm a huge fan by the way.. definitely appreciate all your hard work!! -Mo

Relapse/Refill an all time Em album. Only fake fans don't appreciate the raps structure and flows he has throughout the album. Some of his best work ever.

Spot on with the prime candidate being a positive thing, so it's a great juxtaposition. Additional, i think there's also a link between running for State office (manic state) and being a prime candidate.

This is a really hot take, but I would put Deja Vu in Em’s top 2 songs. (Along with Bad Guy.)

I would only add “No Apologies” to ure top2 and make a fire top 3 !!

I never minded the accents on this album, the rhyme patterns and flows and content are straight fire

I absolutely love when he uses that demonic voice to symbolize his issues, demons or Slim Shady 🔥🔥🔥

*That is just 1 of many CLASSIC Eminem songs.* Also this is way Eminem has a big fanbase because he let’s people all around the 🌎 into his life not just the great points in his life but also the really dark times in his life. Eminem fan from 🇲🇽 and for life.

I think it's actually "Deja Vu", but you know, it still reads....

"So lonely and cold, it's like something takes over me as soon as I go home and close the door...kinda feels like deja vu, I wanna get away from this place I do, but I can't and I won't...say I try but I know that's a lie cause I don't, and why..I just don't knowww" Anyone battling addiction can relate to this. Myself included. You wanna go home and just eat and chill after work but you're lonely af inside so you drink/do drugs to fend off the depressed part of your brain that controls you. Life's rough. Such a dope breakdown of the struggle.

It was stated that if the paramedics didn’t arrived in 30 or 10 (don’t know which one) minutes, Em would’ve been dead....

He says 30 min in another song, either Going Through Changes or Arose I think.

For the millions who have had this same exact convo in their heads. Which only makes Em that much more of a inspiration and makes the songs from recovery hit that much harder.

This song helped me to realize that maybe all my heavy thoughts weren't normal. I lived years in automatic, I did the basics to keep living but my existence was empty... When I heard this song opened my eyes that it wasn't normal and my life was at risk like he was from different issues but alike.

Yeah for sure. Especially when he says "Wow wtf happened last night? Where am I? Fuck am I hungover, and god damn I, got a headache. Shit, half a vicodin, why cant I? All systems ready for take off. Please stand by." I was caught in that cycle. I never had thought I had a problem with pills or cocaine. I thought it was the alcohol. So I'd wake up and take a vicodin or perk to feel better, then once i felt better I'd hit the liquor store. And then once i had a buzz I'd do some coke to counteract the pills and alcohol. And I did that shit everyday for 2 years until this song finally set In.

Killer track. Figuratively and literally. And its Such a good album too, that is way underrated and hated on. Its actually a true horrorcore story masterpiece and this song is a true story, HIS story, from maybe the best horror core album of all time and made thus far. Imma fan of horror: films tv books. All my life. Since I watched The Excorcist (by myself, alone in the house, with the lights off. It was terrifying but oh so deliciously horrific 😂) and The Evil Dead at age 13, and started reading Clive Barker at the same age. And my favorite Em is the Em that goes brutally dark and brutally honest. In this album, he does it the WHOLE album. And It’s spectacular. An album that was ahead of its time in some ways. I think one day it will be revisited. And reassessed. And recognized for what it really is: a nasty, sick flowed, bad ass thick beated, imaginatively gruesome, with layered vocals, vivid lyricism, a sometimes way to real, but unabashedly honest MASTERPIECE.
