I am from Cotabato City Sir and I am very grateful that you tried to visit our City despite all of the ppl saying "it is dangerous" and having the courage to go here all alone - but in my opinion, it's better if you have someone to guide u all along because there are still some places here in Cotabato that we are very proud of such as the Grand Mosque that was located in Barangay Kalanganan II as well as the tourist spots in Timako. There are some cities here that are not so far in our City that you can try to visit as well and for sure, you'll be amazed in what you will see because there are lots of places here in Maguindanao that are not so famous but it is safe and has a good-looking view.

As a person from the city, I honestly feel embarrassed whenever I see tourists going around Cotabato alone. I honestly don’t think the city is convenient enough for the tourists. This was informative and was also a hard watch for me 😂. Kudos to you, Sir, for trusting the gut and explored it anyway despite the people saying that it’s a dangerous place. I can say that it's pretty safe in Cotabato but it's not convenient enough for foreigners or people who've just visited for the first time simply because it doesn't have much to offer, unlike cities like Davao. Despite that, it's still a developing city, and seeing its current state, we can all agree that it's much better than the Cotabato we've had before.

Cotabato city is safe now people. Dont be fooled sir, they are not locals.very safe Even for foreign tourists. But its better to have a local to introduce or guide you around. The grand mosque at tamontaka, wear decent clothing for men and women, must be in pants. The sunset at timako hills is always a pleasant experience. Barbeque stands around the city are exceptional and bbq native chicken near central pilot school are the best. Its safe as most people are not roaming around beyond 8pm, like any other typical provincial life/culture. However the city does have its nightlife so it could cater to all needs of the locals. I could say, the city is actually balancing well the religious culture and modern culture presently for all people in the city. I have lived primarily in quezon city and fortunately not missing the metro traffic when i got employed here more than 2 years ago. 😊

I suggest you go out On Night because theres a lot of beautifull places here Like inside the People palace and lot More beautifull areas that you can explore and its safe because theres a lot of police stationed in every corner of cotabato so its really safe but dont go On super because its kinda dirty there

To those who have commented that Cotabato City is dangerous and not safe for tourists or international vloggers, I want to let you know that Cotabato City is much like any other place. No country is perfect; there are good and bad aspects everywhere, including crime and violence, which are common in all countries. I have been living in Cotabato City for 28 years and have not heard of any violence experienced by international tourists. Nowadays, many foreigners from around the globe visit Cotabato City, and some even choose to stay here because it offers fresh vegetables and fruits, and the cost of living is much cheaper compared to other cities. I work for an NGO and have collaborated with people from various nationalities, especially from Western countries. They commute to our office in Cotabato City by bicycle or on foot every day, which indicates that Cotabato is safe. Let’s not assume that Cotabato is dangerous for those who want to visit. Here, you are safe as long as you are not involved in any illegal activities. Nothing will happen to you if you respect the local laws, just as it is in your own places.

im from cotabato, idk how the hell youtube is recommending this to me. Cotabato is not a good place to stay. Youre better off living in San Francisco in Agusan Del Sur than here. Shootings happen sometimes and unaliving people happens often when duterte is not the president of the philippines anymore. San francisco agusan or davao is a better place but davao is such a big place its quite pain in the ahh but much more safe than the majority of places in Luzon cities
