I’m not mad that you opened it 📦. I’m just mad that that figure isn’t in my possession and I agree with what you said saying how the figure used to be sold for a cheap price of under $500💵, because nowadays you have to pay half $1000💸 if you even want the opportunity to even own one! And I don’t blame you. Opening it just to fix the battery compartment… smart move. 😌👍

Thanks and yes prices have gone insane. Now with the batteries corroding and if they would have continued to stay in the compartment it would have ruined the figure’s functionality, that I’m sure of. It was definitely a bit of a gamble but it definitely paid off. For years I was a mint in box collector, but as I got older I thought to myself - who am I doing that for? For the future owner if I sell it? So, it totally changed my way of thinking. I still buy stuff I’ll never open but it’s only for items I know that I’ll end up putting in my store. Unfortunately recently I’ve put items in my store I never planned to sell, but I’m massively downsizing my collection.

😊…I have unboxed Buzz from 1995 and finally opened and, same…included batteries were corroded. In my case a gentle clean did not result in working lights. Besides, the figure is yours dammit. 😂

Amen brother. Had a lot of battery powered items come through my store and if they are over 10 years old over 50% of them have serious battery issues. Button cells are less likely but AA’s and AAA’s will leak like nobody’s business and ruin items. Been able to clean a bunch to save them but there are always items that just can’t recover from it. Sincerely, Jase
