Thank you for making this video! I currently have a stroke patient native to the Marshall Islands. He is struggling to communicate and follow directions, but this will help me immensely!

"ng" say it like "ing" without the "I" . Best way to explain it to English speakers. Thank you.

Where might I find this fb group? And any manual I can follow to help me learn?
@amberbates68825 жыл бұрын
The best manual I've found for Marshallese was written by Peter Rudiak-Gould. If you do a Google search for "Marshallese language" and his name, you should find it.

I just moved to Hawaii I heard people don't like micronesians here I wanna learn a a little and walk into micronesian store I went by and strike a convo with them in their language
@uts44483 жыл бұрын
You will be appreciated. I just wanna let you know Micronesians speak different languages. Marshallese is one of them. But they could be Chuukese, Pohnpeian, Palauan, or Marshallese etc. Micronesian is all those different people put together. You know like “Polynesians” could be Samoan, Tongan, Tuvaluan, Maori etc. Just like that. I think it’s like close to 30 different languages in Micronesia. But I understand. Not a lot of people know about Micronesians.

Thanks Amber, I hope to be teaching in the Marshall's soon, and want to prep as much as possible first. I am very grateful to find something like this. You mentioned a worksheet posted in facebook files, may I access this, and if so, how? Thanks for posting.
