It's one thing to cover an artist because you love them or admire them etc, but these are building a whole career on the back of Vince's and in particular Martin's songs. They've even recently covered and released the WHOLE of Mode's second album. Ffs can't they come up with their own ideas?

Everybody can record cover versions, it's fun, we listen to it for sheer curiosity, good or bad, cover versions pull out tricks which originals sometimes don't , it's a human right - just as sometimes it is totally unnecessary. Sadly this one goes for the latter, giving nothing of its personality to the original but relies plainly on the synthetic template as painfully sterile, which only makes the original even more invincible. Sorry Marsheaux, no can do.
