My grandfather was the pan fish GURU ! He’d use a fly rod with a turkey quill a small swivel and a no 2 gold Eagle Claw and a cricket !! He loved it.

I’m approximately 97% sure that the best part of a fishing contest is in the exchange of sarcasm, ribbing and general smack-talking. You and your son have a good dynamic for videos.

Fished there last weekend with my paw in law! Ended up with some really nice bream and a couple bass. Wind was blowing about 35 so we had to hide in the canals

I test a lot of bait at my brother's camp under the light at night. I saw this video and I thought that small chatter bait might work on the speckle trout. Well glad to say it did. When trout fishing you might want to throw that little chatter bait. I rig it with a 2.5 grub and caught my limit in less than 30 minutes.

14:03 he should’ve bet his numbers against your inches. That bass was definitely a slam dunk.

Always love to see you and Joel on the boat! I didn’t know they made a mini chatter bait, might give that a try one day. And yes once I saw that Bass I figured it was a game changer 😅Perfect meal!

0:22 i’m just wet yesterday. I finished the tickfaw river just south of the tickfaw state park for hours over 60 fish. They were biting on crickets and worms but the big ones were biting on a Chartroose soft classic tip with a piece of worm they could not resist it.

I've caught punkin seeds as big as any bluegill. They get some size to them.

30:25 ur son outfished you hands down. From the back of the boat nonetheless. When you get on chinqapin, stop and work the bed don’t stay on the troll moter marsh man, who neverfish with a cork Dude. Shoulda showed your son smackin the chinquapin. Congrats Joel . You smackin the chinquapin seemed to have not made the film. Good thing the marshman caught that bass. Shoulda been a numbers tournament. Anyway, always enjoy the show. Especially when your son out fishes you, Mr I can’t get off the same chartreuse and black with no cork man! 😛😛👍🤙
