I respect the acknowledgement that the Veer EP may just not be your thing. Easy 8.5/10 for me personally, Gridcrash is one of my tracks of the year for sure

As a Galantis fan since 2015, Rx is extremely disappointing more than anything. Even if The Aviary and Church werent as strong as Pharmacy, they had their own identity and did unique stuff that i enjoyed a lot (particularly Church). But post-Church, Galantis have just slowly devolved into basic commercial house. What makes Rx worse is how it tries to encapsulate the feel of Pharmacy, but fails so bad. Tracks like Dust and Dream Team have strong verses that could fit in Pharmacy, but the drops are super basic and lack any identity. Even the tracks i liked (1 2 and 3, side effects) barely compare with the weakest tracks from pharmacy. Its clear that Linus leaving Galantis has affected the production, as the lack of clear direction or identity is just saddening as a fan...

I feel like you are maybe being too critical because so many of these projects are receiving 7s, even INZO's EP which I for sure would give an 8 or above. Nigel Good was deserved tho. I think SpaceYeti already has a pretty unique sound (futuristic synths, very clean mixing) and I'm super hyped for his future work given his new ID mix; Traveller deserves a 7 at least.
