Another excellent video, loved the machining. Last time I knurled anything, I was 13 years old in a school metalworking class!

Nice job there Mart!! Bead blast your carb risers and they won't look billet.

Interesting setup on the mill Mart and the use of brake pistons was very resourceful, but remembering what you have on the shelf helps. I have seen others using those plugged holes to mount PCV valves, could be useful as you have the nice tapping under the second carb. It will be interesting to see if there is much of a performance improvement. Good progress.

On the spacers mill some fins on sides. Good for another 5hp.

Not such a bad idea, might help keep the inlet fuel/air mix cool.

"Cosmetic Fix" good choice of words, better choice rather than a more common phrase "Tart It Up". To add a similar comment as another viewer, last time I did any milling and lathe work was as an apprentice many years ago ( 1965-1970). I change d my career from mechanical engineering to Electrical/Electronic engineering, but still do a lot of DIY mechanics. That conversion chart/booklet I have one from my father he was a mechanical engineer but spent a lot of his working life in the domestic lighting industry.👍😏

While it was set up in the mill maybe you should have drilled and tapped manifold to accept a 9/16 generator stud

Hello James. Yes, I did think of that. I checked to see if the pitches of the threads were the same. 1/2" is 13 and 9/16" is 12. If they were the same I would have done it. The core diameter of 9/16 is smaller than 1/2" so the threads would have been compromised. In reality it would have probably have been ok, but I only had a cheap 9/16 UNC tap and I know it would cut oversize. I since remembered I have a better quality one and if I had remembered that I might have gone for it. Thanks for watching and thinking about it.
