@@gregorurban3222 If he said it, it is still misleading. He was not a composer out of grief but out of passion. And his first symphonies did not stem from sorrow. Nor the Forellenquintett, nor all 600 Lieder. The romantic period also "required" elements of melancholy. Same with Chopin. Allegedly a full time melancholic person.
