This is one of my favorite Beatles songs, particularly due the middle instrumental section. It induces ecstasy. I love the interwoven complexity of it that still sounds harmonious. Is that what is called syncopation?

Yes, syncopation, time signature changes, and great harmony. Add a dash of George Martin arranging and it's a true classic.
