She is always so calm. She has always been working for herself except for the first years of her marriage. 75th book. She is an entrepreneur.

I was lucky enough to have a father who gave me the exact advice as Martha’s father gave her. I chose quite a different course to Martha but I have had a wonderful, exciting, varied life. I think it just gave me the confidence to do whatever I believed to be the right thing for me. Nothing is perfect. However you cope with what you can’t control and get around it the best way you can.

I loved this. She was everything I expected. Funny, I understand she has a very good sense of humor. Smart, I know she is brilliant. And she was understanding of the world and what we eat. I read somewhere that she called her parents teachers. They were not teachers in the school way. They were teachers in the life way. She is a life way teacher.

She is an inspiration to all! Im more of an entrepreneur than someone who would do well working for someone else! I don't do well working for others so it gets me thinking ...I do well at interviews but when it comes to pleasing your employer...I suck at it! Im either mentally ill or an entrepreneur! I've started a book and I need a laptop to continue....soooo Im dropping everything and ordering a laptop and get this book rolling. Hint: Single mom, Prison wife, and alcoholic mother. I believe writing will be very rewarding in a sense of self perception and as well as public perception! Watching alot of Martha Stewart! She thinks like I do but she puts it into reality. I have ideas but I need the courage to do it! I have stories to tell. It's not until I went to college that I realized that my story is a voice for others as supposed to an embarrassment!

Just DO IT. You definitely HAVE a VOICE. You explaned your state of mind SOOO WELL. I'm 81 yrs young, and done many things; but, did not have the start as good as Martha has had. Find a friend (older) who will be your CHEERLEADER and has had life-experience to give you the emotional kick-in-the-butt you need to KEEP MOVING. You explain yourself so expertly. Just don't quit!!

Martha has a lot of things to show us the senior generation and all ones. She is an example of discipline, tenacity, hard work and learning skills. This is very good for our new generations., also learning from our mistakes. She is an excellent teacher in a lot of themes to conserve a healthy and productive minds. This way will be less people without depression...

@whouston33wh She's not a corporate sponsor. Lol....She is the corporation! One she built, from the ground up! She is a trail blazer for all women. Btw She was never convicted for tax evasion. What she did wasn't technically illegal. She was convicted for lying to the Feds. If she had told the truth or not answered any questions. She likely would not have been charged. Or served any jail time.

I watched this two years ago and am now 80 and my husband of 58 years has died. I am so pleased to have rewatched because I have had to be gluten free for several years. It caused me to loose the balance so I can no longer walk. Just a tiny bit taken by mistake causes me severe pain. I had never heard of this when younger. I believe it is caused by spray on wheat. I have read that France is free of this. How I abhor the limit of food I can eat. I like a sandwich for lunch but the bread is so disgusting I need a thick filling to counteract it. I thank I lived in my younger years enjoying cooking and food, I am so sad for the youth of today who are learning other side effects such as loosing sight etc. how can it be banned ? I love and and admire Martha. Please tell her to keep off wheat

the way google plugs their own products is so distasteful and cheesy. it makes the interview seem like some corporate stunt - disingenuous and targeted.

@epignosis567 If that is all that you have gotten from this interview than that is rather unfortunate. She is an entrepreneur who found a very specific void and did well to fill it. Just because it involves things that were previously associated with, as you unfortunately put it "wifely duties," does not make it any less legitimate of a business, she employs many men and intelligent people and thousands use her knowledge to help them every day.

Thomas DeGraff Not to mention there's always this type of person in every generation or era, at least. Homekeeping, and teaching women how to do it, was one of the major factors in why women became literate in addition to the Bible.

if you're a young executive, you are expected to live up to your station, not your age. If you are about to interview a living legend, come prepared. Reading nervously off the cue cards wouldn't cut it in middle school.

Rich Woman. Tax Evasion. Never forget. Ya she made domestic life easier, but much more commercial. 75 books worth of money. Don't let a corporate sponsor tell you what looks good for you. Be your own person, decorate how you want to decorate. Boo!
