9:20 The best part is that the MGS4 final fight isn't just between Solid Snake and Liquid Ocelot. The names and music change after each sequence to be that of each main protagonist and antagonist in each MGS to that point. Solid Snake and Big Boss (Naked Snake), against Ocelot and Liquid, and both waging war for what they believe is The Boss's vision. They're the sons of a battle spanning generations, both moulded to be the greatest soldiers known to man. They're cloned from what is widely regarded as the greatest of them all - Big Boss. While it's implied that Liquid is the inferior clone, I only learned recently that it was Solid Snake who was the defective one all along, and still manages to win. A battle for the world's beliefs, ideologies, liberties, all ends with a battle between two brothers who still have that score to settle. It's pretty beautiful honestly.

Crazy thing about the MGS fighting styles, the Fight choreographer( I don’t remember which one) actually trains Special Forces. So they use styles like ippo, Muy thai, judo, Akido, BJJ,JJ, boxing , kick boxing, grappling, and all the other versions of Kickboxing, Boxing, and grapple styles that these and more fighting styles use. I think the total number snake has( that the choreographer used was like 50+) off the top of my head.

Nadine was intimidating because from the moment she takes off those heels you KNOW you're in for it. She knows she can kick Nate's ass without having to rush him and it's fricking LUCK that saves his fool neck (as usual) I love that fool, but he's got both the best and the worst luck in the world
@PirateCat8223 жыл бұрын
Everytime Nate gets shot outside of cutscenes he loses luck.
@skeetsvar1623 жыл бұрын
Nadine wasn't intimidating at all, if this was Nate's first adventure I'd maybe believe her whole badass act. But it's fairly obvious that they just wanted a strong female character to kick Drake's ass. All the shit Drake has gone through...and he can't even put up minimal resistance? He can't even defend himself? Sure, whatever you say game.
@tenjenk3 жыл бұрын
@@skeetsvar162 Nathan drake is a treasure hunter thief with vast combat experience with general boxing and fighting skills honed by experience. Nadine is a life long soldier and mercenary with training and experience in martial arts who has been in wars all her damn life .So ofcourse she beat his ass. Hell she beat both the brothers asses. Nathan gets by on his strength, experience and just winging it. That wont really work against an opponent of superior life long experience, skill and training in combat alone. Nadine knows exactly how to deal with a heavier opponent and intentionally combos hits him in multiple weak points over and over, joint locks him and even when he gets the upper hand, she knows exactly which moves are needed to break out of it and HURT him for it. They're civilian thieves versus a career soldier talent, trained and experienced in combat and martial arts. You aren't considering that all the shit Drake has gone through does not compare to all the shit Nadine has gone through in terms of combat alone. All she has done since she was a child was fight in war from a family of the same. We should be amazed that Nathan's experience, ability and sheer fkn luck helped him survive her instead of just getting killed in a few moves. Plus in the DLC she does meet an enemy of equal skill to her but becauseof his height and weight advantage, he beats her in a straight fight.
@skeetsvar1623 жыл бұрын
@@tenjenk That's all well and good but considering how even the original writer of uncharted thought Nadine was bullshit and was preassured into writing her character I'm gonna stick with reality instead of plugging my ears. And I think we can both agree that the writer knows a helluva lot more about her characters abilities than us. I've got no problem with strong female characters but when you go out of your way and to make her the best not just a better fighter but straight up superior in every conceivable way? Remind me why were playing as Nathan again? Why wasn't Nadine the main character considering how drake can't even compare to her in any way? Thank god we got the Nadine DLC I was so tired of playing as our weak and 100% inferior boi.
@SympatheticStrawmanVA3 жыл бұрын
@@tenjenk as a pro soldier her skills wouod be much more centered around shooting than hand to hand. Almost no professional soldiering force in the world bothers with hand to hand because it has very little practical application. Nate woukd have more experience BECAUSE he isn't fighting in wartime. Having her whoop his ass while Nate just plays the "big clumsy overconfident brute" is lazy writing and shameless pandering.

7:46 I think those are not just armor, they are exosuits. The artificial muscles in the suits give them more strength, which are hooked into their spinal chords. This means they can control the suit effortlessly, as it gives them the strength to easily flip over tanks.
