I've felt the ROCK HARD punches from this small man in my early years in the martial arts. I talked to him 2 weeks prior to his passing. It was an honor knowing a legend and the wisdom he taught me. R.I.P. Professor Vee.

HOLY SMOKES!! this vid is SO CLEAR! big props to the videographer for cleaning this up. This is a RARE interview indeed! hearing Master Vee speak! awesome.I will always love Master Vee for giving his art to the AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY during a time when most of the "name" masters concentrated on the West Coast where there was more money and "opportunities" Master Vee could have EASILY followed this pattern but chose NOT TO. We will always be grateful

This is the kicker many thought Sigung Bruce Lee was the only expert studying, dissecting and combining martial arts, martial combat and self defense into a fully loaded complete system. Yet G.M. Vee was doing it way ahead of Lee. Lee wasn’t the only traditional mma badass back in then. GM Vee was highly innovative and inquisitive light years ahead of his time along with Bruce Lee. Gm Vee was extraordinary-profound-powerhouse of a man. As well as an adept teacher and superb martial artist. #ous #salute

OUS!!! I love this interview. I would like to point out that the first person he named as a student of his was Dr. Moses Powell. The legacy continues...

Brilliant!!! My first actual study of martial arts came from Prof. Vee's system via Lou Ferrer and David B. James. The study of this art gave me the pathway to master anything I put my mind to. I have achieved excellence in higher education achieving a Philosophy and Political Science degree. Additionally, a masters in Exercise Science. The paradox Prof. Vee speaks of is true-the higher the sensitivity and aptitude in the martial arts the more productive the human being, and the greater the ability to diffuse explosive situations with the power of the mind, i.e., psychology.

A true master. It's obvious from this clip, hearing him speak, that absolutely no pretense exists in this man; he speaks from the heart. I hope the people who had the good fortune to train with him realize how lucky they are. I have been noticing something lately that is kinda hard to describe accurately: Every time i see a real master, whether it is in a picture, in a video, or in person, i always notice that they have a certain "Look" (for lack of a better word) in their eyes. It seems that all of their training and self cultivation has given them a strong warrior spirit that manifests itself through their eyes. As the saying goes, "the eyes are the windows of the soul". Thanks for the interview

Rest Peacefully Professor V, the arc of your teaching runs deep, opening the hearts & minds inspiring individual development, your teaching & execution of combative arts is simplicity to the max of effectiveness, is evident in those you have taught or simply had the opportunity to attend your seminars. My introduction came by the way of Master instructor Ralph Mitchell, whose mantra is “Keep it Simple”. My takeaway is that, Simplicity is a foundation to build upon.

I met him on a few occasions in Queens inside the Samuria Arnis Club atProfessor Powers dojo, He was small but pretty strong and fast. I really nice guy with a good sense of humor. Him and I did a lot of kung fu forearm training together, he like me because I was so into it. RIP.

Professor Vee's contributions are underestimated and have received little recognition relative to others.
